I thought you always have this wireless thermometer... you are not planning to add a chiller? I am also having difficulty planning for my office tank... dunno what size of chiller to go for... and the heavy costs Maybe will seek for your help when the time comes...
-
Oh I heard the powder form is even better... try out leh... let us know the outcome
-
Glossed sand bed? Emm... I think I'll stick to conventional sand bed for the time being... maybe 2 to 3 inches deep

I will be in the best position to advice you. Firstly, do you own a sump + cabinet. If yes, you can use Aquatronica to on/off/interval the Stream 6000. I can't stand the clicking on/off sound of the Power Unit so I rely back on my Multicontroller 7095. Bear in mind that the Multicontroller can create much more effect than the current Aquatronica features. So if you want to mimic sea current (very complex type playing with more than 1 Streams)... then you will find Aquatronica too restrictive. It all depends on what you want and your tank size. Do PM me if you need more info as I'm very familiar with your position right now.

Or buy LR from fellow reefers decom tank... that will help also. If you tank is not too large... Live Sand / Aragonite will also help mature the tank faster. All the best to you bro... just don't throw in a Damsel hor

You are doing piping work meh? Sorry bro... I'm a dummy in DIY... don't even know what you are referring to
-
Another worm-view shot... multiple colonies of Zoas in the foreground, Xenia-looking hitchiker in the midground and Orange Yuma in the background... can you spot my queer Nemo?
-
One of my most successful corals to date... a fine piece of Goniopora opening nicely... I like to see my tank from various angles and this is one of my favourite (basically I just need to sit on the floor and look up ) But not all are well... just removed a piece of Neon Yellow Elegance... my second attempt
-
Another hard-to-shoot little bugger... always stay behind the tank... only comes out during feeding Eats everything This little fishy is my second most expensive fish Don't you just love the macroalgae growth in my tank? I think some reefers will faint seeing so many of them in the main tank I like them coz they are very natural looking... as long as they don't "kacau" my corals
-
So lucky to have your anemone stay at one position for more than a week... but once it moves... monitor closely I don't think that Carpet Anemone will eat fish... not at that size at least... I heard Elephant Ear will
-
My "Archie" (Argi Pygmy Angel)... it's very hard to get a full body pix like this one as it hides a lot... been in my tank for more than 2 weeks now... still cave in cave out I guess the slightly torn fin is not too visible after all... eating pellets, Henry's mix, frozen mysis/brine shrimp, chopped seaweed and Arcti-Pods™
-
Another nice colony of Zoas... orange center, pink outer center, blue ring, olive green tentacles... darken the picture slightly so that the colouration is more visible... note that the Nemo is still orange

Guys... I think I've shown you guys too much scum and skimmers lately... let's take a 360º swing... get ready for some beauties Starting with my Chevron Tang... one of my favourites... most expensive LS in my tank... been with me for more than 3 months now... easily grown more than 1" during that period But he is growing old too... you can see from the dark brown appearing all over his body... taking away the orange replacing with dark brown But I will continue to keep him (will transfer to Office Paradiz) coz I want to see him in adult form... seen it in books... but not in real life as LFS usually don't sell an adult Chevron (Note: That white dot on the Chevron fin is not an ich... it's a floating particle) The surrounding of my tank is also maturing... the Radioactive Zoas on Tonga branches really make the setting very natural

Yupe... and I think he is also recommending EOS

Front view of the pump... notice the base is actually another rubber ring... acting as a staging to support the pump. So, basically the pump is like floating... not touching any hard surface hence the great reduction in noise... to be honest... I've tried 4 skimmers before and here's how I will rank them based on noise level: Low to high: 1) ATI Twister®M w/ ATI A1500 2) Tunze DOC Skimmer 9005 w/ Turbelle 3) Deltec MCE600 w/ Aquabee UP2000 4) Aquamedic Turboflotor Percula w/ PH2500
-
The pump is very easily removed for maintenance... yes with the THREADWHEEL... frequent rinsing of the impeller will increase efficiency (I read somewhere). Very easy to handle as the removal of the pump only requires one hand... no screwing, no fastening/tightening, no twisting... just pull a bit Perfect for those with space restrictions
-
Here's a pix of the pump inlet connector (with the pump removed)... the black ring is made of rubber (inside)... I hope I can show you guys the design of the ring (not ordinary ring)...
-
Yes I will keep you guys updated... perhaps I should remind AM to stock some replacement parts just in case (coz shipment can take months) but so far there isn't any negative experience on this issue on both Zeovit.com and Riffaquaristikforum.de They started using the product beginning of the year (if I'm not wrong).

Nah I must thank you for trying it out... Emm... let me calculate: Main tank: 650 liters EOS: 170 liters Sump: 230 liters Total: 1050 liters Well... didn't know your tank is so huge!!! Well... I guess my baby Twister®M will have to work extra hard for the coming week Bro Lyz77 if you ever interested in an ATI, you need to get the Bubble Master rated for 3000 liters... more like it
-
I think it's a yes and no to your opinion... yes the THREADWHEEL looks fragile (have to agree with you)... on the other hand... due to the brittleness of most NEEDLEWHEELs out there... a lot of reefers find it frustrating that they keep breaking... over here... the mesh won't break Well... really need to put this guy to the test (locally). This product has been tested in Germany for more than half a year already
-
Nope... not from me... why would he? He get corals for free
-
Got a call from Tank Maker... he is already finalizing the design of the sump tank... also mentioned a "close loop design".... em... must do a bit more research on this already
-
I also found this on the same Zeovit.com thread... some of the reefers are concerned of the maintenance of the THREADWHEEL... Unfortunately the Twister®M doesn't come with an Airflow Meter (I heard it is an optional item)... But it is very true that removing the pump is so so simple... no screwing, no tightening, whatsoever... just slot it into the rubber connector... that's all!!! Will try to show more pix on this to give you guys a clearer picture.
