Filefish might be a little easier to catch out than Anthias and Damsels

You can turn the top and bottom anti-clockwise... If you notice, there's actually a join line between the part where you connect the hose and the part which holds the acrylic tube. It can be very tight... so hold the part where the hose connects... and TURN!!!

Welcome to the hobby!!! A Hang-on Redsea Prizm will work very well for your tank Since you are new, perhaps an all-in-one skimmer will give you less headache All the best!!!

Yeah basically Sump No.2 qualify as another tank coz the volume is high (around 60+ US Gal) As for the flow inside the skimmer... here's a video showing exactly that... but I still expect more bubbles in the coming few days My favourite... after running for a few short hours... the foam is rising...
-
Here's a movie showing the "twister" formation of the bubbles... the twisting effect is powered by 3 NW foaming pumps + Aquabee 2000i... all rotating in a single direction Needless to say... enjoy

After running for half a day... my Hydor Performer 3000 standing tall The bubbles are still a bit coarse and sparse... will allow it to run-in for another day or two... will post another similar pix tomorrow so that you guys can see any possible improvements.

Hi bro... welcome back!!! Nice scaping... well done to both you and bro Weisheng As for the Aiptasia, I'm quite surprised that the Peppermint Shrimps do nothing... how about using chemical? A LFS recently brought in a good product in controlling Aiptasia... but I have not tested it myself

This is not an argument but a debate... how can one loose when there are so many studies and evidents proving the validity of his belief? What bro Hammy said is absolutely right (which I agree from the very beginning)... no one shall rely solely on LR for denitrification but a series of measures mentioned here. And has anyone mention feeding habit? Feeding Method/Habit: Another way to remove unwanted nutrients is by removing the water that comes with frozen mysis and brine shrimp. They are extremely rich in nutrients. Choice of LS: This is also a crucial consideration... it's all about balance in the end of the day
