think there is something wrong with my tank ... or either that my recent DIY projects have freaked out my fish ... found my TBT dead this morning .. super depressing ... is it true that TBTs have low stress tolerance ? coz recently i been switching the lights on and off alot to do testing of my moonlight ... also my light set ballast spoil ... 3 out of 4 tubes light up... 2 white 1 blue light up ... making my tank very yellowish .. so i switched the positions... to 2 blue 1 white ... maybe the BT got too stressed and died ? coz i notice everytime i lose a TBT is in a incident of change ... like a rescape, continous switching on of lights, etc.... haiz ... i have lost 5 TBTs so far. i have decided to change my procedures of addition ... drip to aclimatize quarantine for 1 week in a betta box ( mine is actually a floating nursery so its quite huge) time would be dependant on kind of fish, condition and feeding behaviour ... i know this should be the standard .. but i am an impatient person .. so i didnt follow ... so now i hope this would help me out .. plus i will be more careful now in my upgrading ... taking care not to stress the fish ..

dint want to get a chiller mah ... corals would mean more cash spent ... and higher bills ..

i was impulsive la .. dint think to much abt it ... but one day i sat down and counted .. the financial burden will be hell ... and there wasnt much support... my mum wanted corals ... i tot that fowlr would be cheaper ... alot of dispute ...

so true sis waner ... and the most crazy species as well ... well have strict laws on killing on person ... but then go on do design weapons that kill millions in one go... but then again .. im proud of certain people .. like gandhi, M.teresa etc etc ... not to mention comedians .... they bring a smile to everyone's face .. haha

thanks for the comment jerv .. am quite disturbed abt the great barrier reef thing as well ... wonder if i can ever bring my kids diving there before the bleaching gets too bad ... just imagine .. look son .. look at that white thing ... it used to be a beautiful acropora ...

the poor bugger is still fighting to live ... i wonder how many percent of survival does it have ... really considering euthanasia now .. should i ? haiz ... want to give it a chance ... but dun want it to suffer .. oh yeah .. just remembered abt this ... did u know .. that marine biologists predict that in the near future 75 % of the great barrier reef will be bleached ?

does it involve a metal chain and plastic handle ??

yea ... i agree to tt .. mebbe i should limit to 1 LS or coral a week .... was thinking ... yellow tang or desjardini sailfin ... ?? when i have enuff courage tt is ...

i actually think the fault lies partially with me .. for picking the smallest specmen instead of the healthier ones .. that little one seemed a little thin... but i was so mesmorised by its tiny size tt i chose it over the larger ones .. thanks for your kind offer bro waner ... but i think i'll wait a while until i regain some confidence on keeping zebrasomas .. but if ah beng brings in more 1 - 2 in desjadini sailfins ... i will try them out again ... but meanwhile .. im still comtemplating on the LW ... if not i'll just wait my tank out .. till my TBT is stable .. any suggestions on the safety part ?? will post the pics tml night ... abit depressed to post them right now ..

came home to two mishaps .... my plate stung my branched gonio ... 2 branches .. now left with only one ... broke off the dying branch... seem to have no luck with the zebrasoma family ... first my sailfin then now my scopas ... both fell in love with my seio ... tried to kiss it ... end up with the kiss of death ... scopas still alive ... but dying ... one side sunken with eyeball almost sucked out ... considering euthanasia ..

im using connectted .. more convenient ... but require cutting of the copper thread if ur using more than 1 LED .

FW dip for corals i not sure ... mebbe colin got some info on this ? anyways .. what all your wrasses doing ? "eat snake" ah ? tot they supposed to eat inverts ? or does it apply only to crabs and shrimps ? my sixline always munches on hitchhiker crabs..

my SB is all grade 0 sand leh ... dun think its smart to get one ... my corals will have problems ..
