well .. dunno if i can update often ... but here goes! this is my tank after it semi crashed.. only LR and a few inverts and fish . overall view huh!? why u take my photo ?? the resident circus act i love u my dear oi ! peeping tom ah ! my fave !! this guy is a tyrant..

ah ... den no need to be afraid of the fish introducing parasites and other stuff into the tank ? i dunno leh ... i once caught this brown mottled colour fish that looked like a scooter blenny ... resembled a little ... will quarantine first and post pics before i put in .. thats if my trip is sucessful la ... haha]

i go net casting every once in a while ... usually... the fish is given to my GF's uncle who apparently is very "garang" ... has a certain amount of knowledge in keeping SW .. he has a 3ft deep tank... i told him the dangers of adding fish from the sea directly .. but he isnt daunted ... this time im going .. i have a little inclination to put anything interesting i get into my tank .. other than quarantining ... what else should i take note of ? i usaully acclimate my fish from the lfs by putting the bag into the water ... after a while .. den put in a betta box .. then put in ... can i do that with fish from our waters ? of must i quarantine and medicate?

i know what went wrong. i dont have a chiller ... but the tank is in my room ... every night i will turn on the air con to sleep... and tt keeps the water cool ... being away for so long ... and never on air con... the heat from my lighting brought the temp quite high ... and the corals could not take it ... but the fish could ... mebbe this is the explaination ... but too late ... my hand itchy ... and i bought some livestock ( i cannot resist temptation .. sorry.. ) bought since last night i added them in .. today got no problem ... all of them eating well and even claiming territory ready ... btw i got a high fin goby .. 15 bucks .. is it around tt price ? coz at first one of the lfs ppl tell me is 12 ... then when i wanna pay again another guy tell me 18 .. but he say give me discount so 15. ... i abit confused now ..

thanks for the advice bro .... another thing... when can i start adding LS and corals again ? currently all my fish are doing well... i found the sailfin blenny too... all eating and behaving normally.. i want to make sure .. in case next few days go to LFS hand itchy and start buying stuff ..

i was thinking of tml change water ... and i was thinking of adding more sand(now quite little . about 1 1/2 cm ) add more LR too... issit ok ?

hey ppl i just returned from a two week holiday.. my tank semi crashed ... corals either melted away ready ... or weak looking ... but tank goodness i have one anemone left... and its still looking healthy ... fish are doing fine i think ... but i cannot find my algae blenny ... now only left with 3 clowns i hawkfish and a sixline wrasse ... inverts like coco worm and tube worms, black cuke are fine too ... starfish died tho ... any advice for me ?

i recently mixed mysis with brine ... the same goes for me ... my clownfish prefers brine. i remember reading somewhere in some thread tt they dont like to swallow anything too big ... and since mysis is bigger than brine ... i guess mebbe thats it ... i dunno about brine being not nutritious leh .. on the package it says vitamin enriched and all tt ... however i know that occasionally changing the menu is good for them ... like chopped sotong, prawn or even mussels .. hope this helps ... cheers !

dunno if im the only goondu that took so long to realise ... sailfin blennies can change colour ! lol ... my girlfriend pointed it out today ... it was grazing at the algae at my front glass panel... surrounded by sandbed only it was whitish grey... then when it went back to the LR ... became black.... please tell me im not the last one to find out .... lol

problem is ... the tentacles never expand ... i also have no experience with lps ... all softies ...

day 2 ... they are still shrunken ... where are their mouths and how exactly do i feed them ..?

hmm wat u mean by extend tank space to me ? help me nurse the corals ah ? anyways.. im thinking of tt ... ask a reefer help me care for a while ... coz im going overseas ... dunno if i can get it up and healthy before i leave .. mebbe i give him the other frag foc if helps or something ... 2 bubbles in my tank is too much liao ..

btw ... can i use market prawn finely chopped or brine shrimp ? i dont have mysis ..

these are my first LPS ... i got 2 bubbles ... green in colour at dirt cheap price ... but they din seem to be doing well at the LFS ... dunno where to place them ... now experimenting on diff locations ... so far only open abit ... 1 day old only .. how long would they take to fully extend ?

bought two bubble coral frags at $10.. any advice on bubbles ? any one interested in the sale better go fast ... not much LS or corals left ... but sale includes equips ! at lot 22 there ... block 4. Drive along TPE. Exit at Tampines Ave 10/Pasir Ris Drive 1. Turn towards Pasir Ris. Turn left at UMCI building. Drive straight untill u reach a T-junction and turn left.

my spotted hawk ... its chasing the algae blenny and 6 line wrasse i bought today ... anyone come across this be4 ? so annoyed ... used to be my favorite .. the hawk .. had to take out all the rocks to catch it be4 it tormented my two newcomers to death... then after tt must restructure the rocks and corals .. now the hawk fish is in confinement ... how long should i confine him ? and i cant find the 6 line ... when i restructure the rocks din see him ... but din move some rocks tho ... hopefully it'll turn up after a while ..

then wat do i use to clear off the algae tt grows on the glass ? limited to turbo snails only ?

i dunno whether still have ... but last week i went to ah bengs ... and there are a lot of YTs in one of the tanks... can go check ... $25 a piece ..

i agree with panzz tt i should go to the LFS ... but i wanna do some research first mah ... if not will be like when i purchased 3 golden trevallies from iwarna ... din know they will outgrow my 55 gallon tank.. im interested in the grammas ... are they agressive ..? also i thought of this .. instead of having a main attraction ... maybe i should focus on diversity ... and have more different species of smaller fish... would tt be nice ? i was thinking of adding a black cap ( are the hard to get ) and 2 or 3 banggai cardinals next ..

hope i dun piss any bros off .. but any other things to suggest other than tangs or angels ... i think i only wanna attempt them only after ive got a few more years of experience on my belt ..
