  1. Please see the attached PDF document for more information. for those who want to skip that, details of purchase are shown below. I currently have nine remaining sets that will arrive latest in 3 weeks. These currently retail for USD$273, which is roughly equal to S$373.2 (based on today’s current exchange rate), excluding shipping and handling charges. I am able to offer each set at a price of $419, which is an additional $45.8, inclusive of delivery*. For the first client who indicates a committed interest, I offer this at cost price (ie. S$ 373.2) as a token^. As a believer of value added service oriented around client satisfaction, I will arrange to collect your meter three years from purchase and send it back to Apogee for recalibration at a minimal cost of S$65 (calibration per set costs USD$55, excluding postage). The sensor head is water proof and attached to a 5m cord. The electrically calibrated meter is more suited for aquaria use as few of us employ natural lighting. I attach here some relevant technical product details for more information. *But only between 7 to 9pm on weekdays and 12 to 4pm on weekends. I apologise for these restrictions as I hold a day job. ^Since this is all going to be on the forum, the first person to PM me using the same thread will get the discounted rate. This will be based on mutual trust and transparency. I would expect quite a demand for these limited sets so I cannot guarantee stock if you indicate your interest late. However, if you really must get your hands on one even after they have all been sold, please do contact me and I’ll do my best to assist you. To order, or to enquire, please PM me direct on this thread and I will get back to you by the next day. To facilitate replies, please be as concise and specific with your queries. I will only accept payment upon delivery, by cash so there is no worry about any scams. I will post another message on the same thread when my orders are full and indicate the estimated day of arrival for the meters. A list of delivery dates and times will follow shortly. Cheers, Planula Apogee_Instruments_Quantum_Meterfor_sale_in_Singapore__Informercial_brochure_.pdf
  2. Halo, am interested in the Ecotech prop pump.. how much are u willing to let it go for? Thanks!
  3. Hi mate, am interested in the Pink stylo.. any other sps that ur giving up apart from the monti? Please let me know. Many thanks. Cheers
  4. Hi Victor, would like one Lime green Monti rock. Willing to pay or trade for 3 types macroalgae: 1. Caulerpa racemosa ( Grape Caulerpa) diff. variety from common racemosa in lFS, resembles C. lentilifera) 2. Ulva lactuca (sea lettuce) 3. Chaetomorpha sp. (Spaghetti algae) all in one small tau huey tub. . if interested to trade can meet somewhere central? if not, i'll buy one lime green Monti rock and meet u in Tampinese. Thanks
  5. Hi hi, the discosoma, i guess i dun have to use common names. for the algae: Caulerpa racemosa = grape algae, (but note again, its not the normal / common large ones u'd find in the LFS). This one closely rersembles small grapes attached to a central stalk. They make great nutrient export algae for refugia. Ulva cf. lactuca = sea lettuce I'll post the pics shortly. So any frags that u wish to sell or trade? Cheers
  6. Even if they might be omnivorous, for a crab like this to take a fish's eye.. it must sure swim hell of a fast! and you can tell that these guys are not swimmers simply by looking at their legs.. no paddles, curved ends for holding onto rocks. Even if the fish was asleep.. i think chances of Pilumnus catching the fish is v v v slim.. check ur water quality mate..
  7. Hi mate, can i have them all pls? Pls sms me at 81130954. Pls also could i know the sizes and collection date and plce? many thanks! Cheers!
  8. Hi there, seems to be Pilumnus sp. or Teddy bear crab. it feeds on hairy algae such as Bryopsis and possibly Turtle weed (Chlorodesmis fastigiata). And thus is a wonderful grazer to have. Only issue is that i might grow too big for pico and nano tanks. Cheers.
  9. Hi mate, How long has it been in the tank? And is that the final price
  10. Hi Guys, any more frags to go? i'm setting up a minimal impact reef and trying to source for frags to start. I'm willing to pay reasonable prices.. and have the following to swop if u desire Frags/Macroalgae 1. 1x Discosoma sp. (bright green, 20cent coin when expanded) 2. Caulerpa racemosa (different variety from those u get in LFS, resembles C. lentilifera) 3. Ulva c.f. lactuca 4.Chaetomorpha cf. spiralis 5. Dove snails (Pyrene sp.) These guys add good diversity in reef tanks, not excellent grazers but reproduce readily with no planktonic veliger phase. i have bout 10 - 15 nos if u want to swop. Cheers, Planula
  11. Crabs are egg layers and most eggs hatch out into nauplii (generic crustacean larvae). The nauplii goes through several instars (stages of larval lives) and the penultimate instar is known as the zoea larva. Some hatch out as more advanced instars taking place at the protozoea and zoea stages. In the postlarval stage, they are known as megalopa. Creetin, i suspect they have hitchiked into ur tank for a long while and avoided detection. However, please do not release any animals back into the wild as we do not know its identification. This is one potential way of introducing alien species into our local waters that may affect Singapore's native biodiversity. Please do consider my advice. Hope we can all contribute to being responsible aquarists and promote a positive image for the hobby. Cheers, Planula
  12. Hi mate, how much do u require? wet weight or handful?
  13. Hi mate, this is a coral from the genus Turbinaria have to check for the species though.
  14. Hi mate, the pics really not too clear but its probably Astropecten indicus the common sand star. These being invertebrates require reef quality water standards for their long term survival. I suggest that you put them in a reef tank if you have one.. they are excellent sand sifters but beware of rock instability. If you cant, then please either return them to where you found them or find some one who can take good care of them. Hope this helps. Cheers.
  15. Hi Reefz lover i think you have to consider a few issues: 1. the PAR (Photosynthetically Available Radiation) / PPFD (Photosynthetic Photon FLux Density) requirements (ie. quantity) as well as spectral quality (ie. color) requirements of your intended captive inhabitants. Several articles by Dana Riddle and Sanjay Joshi in the Adavnced Aquarist Mag should provide u with some leads on the lighting requirements 2.your spectral preference (ie. what colour do u prefer looking at). again, Feldman et al. (2008) in the march issue of AA Mag will illuminate u (pardon the pun) 3. the depth of ur pocket. i agree with Reefzzz on the cost issue. Hope this helps.
  16. Hi kind folks, i wld like to enquire if anyone knows the LFSs or farms that may sell seahorses (pref. Hippocampus kuda) with CITES documentation. Thanks!
