  1. Durian coral is aka galaxy coral. They have very long and powerful sting which can really injure nearby coral, so care must be taken. Of course strong lighting is appreciate and occasional feeding of DT wil be good too. gentle to moderate current is needed to sway thier tentacle.
  2. That depends on what species you got, crocea and derasa tend to have their mantle open wider than others... So to really know whther they are in need for light , you have to see what species you got and what lighting you really using.
  3. hey onyl when its very stress, it will release poison... Read up before commenting
  4. Nope, if the mantle is opening too wide den probably he clam is stretching out for light.
  5. I seldom feed my baby maxima due to the fact that i want to try to reduce the pollution in my tank especially with sps but i notice that even without much feeding the clam is doing very well and has gorwn quite alot.
  6. With those lighting, IMO i think your your lps coral will waste away in matter of time. Thats way to little light for lps coral. ANd btw the tank is way to small for 4 tangs to thrive happily. IMO it is already way to small for a blue tang, do you know that they can get up to abt 1 foot. BTW your tank seem to have too many fishes especially tangs which can produce tons of waste, youi might want to consider sellinga few or even all.
  7. Eh as long as they are crabs, its a no no in my tank.
  8. Anthias species such as tri- color, truncate fairy, squaminpinnis and even squarespot are rather easy to keep. They can start feeding easily and will accept brine/ mysis shrimp, pellet food and many other stuff. The down side part abt these anthias mentioned above is that thye constantly get into fight and the fight usually are very brutal especially when new hobbiest get a few males of the same species( As males are usually more coloful than females) at the same time. Thinking that schooling anthias is a must is another big mistake made by new reefers. But in fact many anthias can do well alone in the tank. It is possible to school these anthias but it should consist of 1 males and many females let say 8 of them therefore a very big tank is needed and so not recommended. So to the next part, anthias that are not so easy to keep are for example sunburst, dispar, purple queen or even evansi. Usually it is due to feeding problem. These anthias sometime are so picky that they refuse any food given and rather go on hunger strike thus later leading to their death. Therefore it is very important to purchase feeding specimen when comes to the anthias psecies i mention above. Next if you really want to have a small school of anthias i recommend you to get either barletts or dispar as this 2 species of fish are not that aggressive but even so 1 male with many female is still recommended. Lastly, pls read up more on anthias before commiting into them, yes some species maybe hardy but they are definately not suitable for new reefers.
  9. IMo soaking brine shrimp with garluic solution will be a much choice to get them to eat. But later once its start eating greedily, you shoudl change its diet to more green than meat.
  10. Nice nice But i think with that height and that kind of lighting, you should place your crocea and maxima way up high.
  11. Eh for your info, I think this is no the biggest type, if not wrong is tridacna gigas
  12. IMO bi- color are much more reef safe compared to other blennies. Bi- color blennies are primarily herbivore and will feed on the algae gorwn on rocks thus not much feeding is required. I myself have never fed my 1 cm long bi-color blenny.
  13. Hey just with one thing which you got and not satisfied with, IMO you should not blacklist the shop so early. It may be your fault to choose a dying sun coral. And thats my 2 cent
  14. The tank setup look abit like december tank of month in RC
