  1. IMO not pricey at all, their price is almost the same as other lfs out there. And also their handle their fish well and seperate those territorial or aggressive ones from thier own kind. With all this good point, i would rather get from them than although cheap but never handle their livestock well lfs.
  2. EH if the lion is smaller than the damsel or even slightly bigger than the damsel, the damsel will still attack and kill it. In fact the chance of it getting kill iMO is higher than other fish as lion is slow moving and has long fin which damsel has the tendency to nip.
  3. Yes white spot is very infectious and most probably your other clown might get it. Since you say you can't catch out the fish, IMO its ok just maintain excellent water quality and regulary feed your clown with garlic solution soak food to boost up its immune system and also cut down any stress factor with might affect him. And then....... pray hard hope your clown fish immune system might defea the ich.
  4. hey hey have you got that skimmer already, hope not cos AquaC skimmer are usually more suitable for smaller tank up to ard 4 feet. For a big tank like yours, I suggest going for big skimmer like euro- reef or even huge h&S.
  5. I think you better put your live stock under other ppl care first, cos your new tank need to complete its cycling.
  6. hey even clam need lots of light... It was suggest that if you keep maxima or crocea under 150, its better to put them up in very high place. And also ultra maxis of crocea need >250watt of light. So dun look down on clams Anyway SPS keeping is not easy, plenty of knowledge and excellent water conditon is required. And one should not every try to kee them just becase its the so call "IN" thing now.
  7. Then i must surely go PR farm and buy the rocks. Maybe a ultra maxima will pop out
  8. Tangs are herbivore in the wild thus it is advisable to include lots of green stuiff in their meal. And green stuff can consist of nori, algae or even commercial made vegetable pellet.
  9. They need planty of light example MH or many many t5s and very good water quality is also needed to maintain or allow the clam to thrive in the tank.
  10. Once black cuke is dead, it will still release deadly poison
  11. EH I am a weipro user and my uncle has a h&S skimmer, IMO the skimmate of weipro is no way compared to h&S. Yes there maybe dark kopi old but i notice weipro skimmate has very little foam.
  12. You might also want to try out the neatly design red sea prism skimmer.
  13. hey hey pls don't give wrong information I think the centuipede like worm is most probably a bristle worms(of course without photo, this is my rough guess) and bristle worm are in fact very good dertivore and scavenger and IMO one should nto remove them, let say kill them. If you dun want the worms i am willing to adopt for you
  14. I went this morning and saw monti cap, staghorn acro, torch coral, many diff brains, fox coral and many other stuff. Wonder why you say nothing
  15. A really very outstanding piece can simply cost more than $70 especialy when it comes to ultra maxi.. BTW the above clam cost $70
  16. hey nice tank with nice stuff... kudos to you
  17. Kudos to you IMO a very slow and nice start up
  18. IMo all angel are consisdered semi reef safe and non of them are fully reef safe. As for butterflies, long nose species are IMO more safe than others but they are still not recommended to have in a reef tank.
  19. Yes and their sting can cause very nasty reaction to clams.
  20. IMo for the tank that size, gofor the biggest model available(2014). IMO its better to go overskim than to under skim.
  21. IMo shrimps and hermits(beware, lots of them are not reef safe) are very good scavenger and therefpre very good clean up crew. Other crews such as starfish(only linkias and fromia species are reef safe) are also very good for getting rid of algae.
  22. You want nice clam, have but you have to pay the price for it. IMO the best clams i see where from PR first clam shipment consisiting of derasa and maxima . BTW if you are looking for ultra clam then you have to fork out at least >$50, and that that maybe much more for higher quality. IMO common clams can be found at almost any farms and to me not that appealing. I would rather go for soemthing value for money. Lets hope PR bring in ultra maxi again.
  23. I thought they are reef safe... Isn't this the one http://www.liveaquaria.com/product/prod_Di...d=23&pCatId=620 Those that rip stuff apart are blue legged hermit. Those found at rebor* selling at $2
