Hey deepblue read from a magazine known as tropical fish(containing both fresh and sea water info) this dead coral you bought are not collected dead then sold to the market. In fact dto cater the market demand, live coral(acro, the one you boguht is monti) was actually collected and then dried before selling. Not sure this is true but i think next time better not by them. Better safe than sorry.

Yah crocea and maima are high light demanding clam, if you are using a 150watt then you should place them veryu high up. It was suggested that nice coloured crocea and maxima need at least >250watt of light

I doubt FL actinic can blend the yellowish colour of my tank. PIc still doesn't show how yellow it is, anyway its a 6500k so you should roughly guess. Maybe 4 actinic blue t5s might help but that will come later. Now my mission is to geta huge ca reactor.

Yup collecting some frags now and hope they grow crazily Anyway from my tank, i wouldn't expected my coral to colour up into deep purple and other bright colour as the light i am hsing promote superb gorwth but not colourAtion.

FYI, clam dislike strong current, in fact they like slow gentle current which sway their mantle lightly

Dun have a refregerium thus my sump is also not very useful as it only contain coral chip and few other things ....... therefore in my tank i keep my fish load very low(not even 1 big fish) and do regular water change. So far nitrate lvl is ok at 5mg/l

Those are barlett anthias from hawaii. Anthias is just the name for this group of fish.

No thats a truncate fairy anthias(pseudanthias truncatus)

Sometimes its better to ask certain requirement of a particular coral in the forum or read up from reputable website instead of asking the lfs owner.

Pls do not try to keep this coral. They have bad reputation of not surviving more than few months in your tank.

Nope the lfs owner bluff you, thats a coris(species nto so sure as i cannot see properly, I recon its a clown coris)in its juv form. This specie of wrasse is definately not reef safe as they feed on hard shell inverts like your precious skunk cleaner or blood shrimp. BTW they can get big!!!
