  10. Not all clam need srong light... Some are less demanding while other need lots of them. But even so t5s or many many pl are needed to keep the less demanding ones.
  11. Yes, a few PLs light is able to keep most lps and softies.. But if you want to have clam IMO go for t5s or MH
  12. IMo its not good to ask the pricing of coral openly
  13. Dottybacks are territorial fishes, unless you can provide many caves and holes, fight between 2 fishes is almost inevitable so IMO 1 per tank
  14. Hey jewel aka goniopora are one of the most delicate coral. The uusually do not last long in captivity and die off within months.IMO don't keep them.
  15. Yup intensity different thus able to penetrate deeper
  16. How long have you got the fish, IMO dun worry if you just add it to the tank, most probably still adjusting to water condition.
  17. YUp problem with anthias, is that they are hard to feed so pls remmeber to get eating specimen and other than that dispar is relatively easy to keep. Oh yah in fact most anthias are very resistant to diseases and parasite.
  18. YUp but with 150watt the retaining of colouration and growth are alot slower compared to 250watt and 400watt thatss why to keep sps >250watt is recommended, anyway i have been through the phrase of using 2X150watt to keep sps and now currently using 400watt which I think my acros are doing so much better. But Oh yah lighting only play a small role in sps keeping
  19. I used to break branches of dead lps with my hand
  20. Hey its not that I always want to give negative comment in your thread, but from your previous thread you post regarding clams and such, I believe that your setup is inadequet for sps(You should know which oneis not enough )...... Sps require not just strong lighting and good water condition(Of course this play a very important part), many other factors will enable you to be sucessful with them or a failure with them. I have quite a few failure too with sps, usually base RTNING therefore lead to fragging when i just start sps, luckily now with more reading more colonies have stop......TOUCH WOOD!!! If you really want to start sps, really, read alot more from net and other source. Start with more hardy species like monti and poci first. But even so they are way more difficult to keep than lps. To end here hope you are satisfied with my reply-D_A I am here to seek peace and not fight war and then cause trouble and headache to AT just that I hope that reefer have the right system to keep their coral happily.... NOT SURVIVING BUT THRIVING!!!
