yeah laterally what i mean is that their rarity in the wild..... If their roaming habitat is huge wouldn't be more common..... for example resplendent angel.. it can only be found in a remote island known as acension island of central america thus it is definately consider one of those rare fish... Hope this clear my doubt and reasoning

No its not true... having a rock attach to its base means that the clam may have more chance that its byssal is not damage compared to a one with no rocks attach
