Just sharing my own experience. Try to refrain from stirring the sand bed as this is one of reason why fish got itch too. I believe this is due to small particles getting stuck in their gills causing stress. Do note some so called reef safe Stop itch or parasite product can "kill" your corals. Do administrate them with care and try a lesser dosage first to see the reaction of your live stock. Hypo is short for hyposalinity.

I would believe it is the de-nitrator and scrubber effect. I doubt vit C had much impact on SPS colouring if nutrient stay high.

Think the frag had more than tripled. Soon it is catching up with my home colony.. better stop fragging liao.. The purple monti colour is getting better than the last time i seen it. Nutrient must have come down a fair bit.

Thanks Bro. Happen to had 1 for nearly 2 years and never know the name till now. Didn't know it was rare when i first got it. Thinking it was some juvenile wrasse or basslet as it was only 1"+ when I bought it. Had asked many reefers who had been to my place but none had been able to identify.

I totally agreed with Bro gchoo. I had the same colony and had pass some frags to very close reefers. All had very good experience with their frags and obtain good growth too. Be prepared to give this guys some space to grow!!! And this kind of birdnest has not hit our shore for a while now which make it more desirable.

If I got the correct person, the tank is housed inside a industrial area at Defu where it can be quite warm.

You might want to check on the chiller. IMO, based on your specs, both chiller will probably be "running" a lot and "eating" your electricity. Why don't you top up a bit for the aircon chiller type. Assuming your tank is in your living room. You will have a cooler living room and electrical savings!!!

Bro, there are some known issue for AB pumps. Eheim pumps are definitely better for the long run. The other alternative is OR pump.

Look like a male Pseudojuloides kaleidos or Blue-Nose Wrasse. Same wrasse family as slender or pencil wrasse which is normally called. P.S. Nice wrasse. Let me know if you happen to let go.

Hi, Decided to make space for other collection so I dislodge the piece of Monti from the rock scape. This is grown from a 2"+ frag. 5/6 of an oval shape. Had broke the section where my hand is. Fast grower so should form back the shape very quickly. Some areas have started to scroll. Alternatively, the area can be glue to the rock scape. Some of the folks here had gotten the same frag of this monti from me. Probably they can be the judge for the monti. Size : Abt 6" X 4". Selling at $20/- Can see first lah if interested. PM me.
