  1. Yup.. I agreed with Larry the AP851 is a good skimmer as it had a long solid body which allow the air to react with the water longer. I used it for my 5ft SPS last time. You may supplement it with bio pellet to control nutrient if u think you will "overload" the tank going forward. This is what i did previously and it does help. All the best
  2. Friend, looking at your tank and some of the SPSes make me think of my old tank.. Any frags for me to get back into addiction
  3. from a neutral point of view. If you like his job as stated then go for it. My last tank was built by an sponsor here whom had many neg feedback. No doubt there are hits and misses thru the setup. It is ok for me as end of the day the end product did serve me well for 5 years. I would say there is no perfect tank maker. You may want to negotiate a proper deal with a timeline, etc. All the best in your pursuit of this fun hobby
  4. No worries. We are just sharing our thoughts and ideas. Cheers!
  5. Nope. I asked her earlier after the shoot. She say she was staying away from the camera. LOL
  6. having confidence and being safe is 2 things Last thing you need to have is a tank cracked on you. Trust me, i had experienced a cracked tank situation recently and this is no joke doing recovery action. Cheers!
  7. Rimless at 10mm thick is very very risky. Further more the tank you mentioned is 18" in height. Unfortunately, i can't find the link which you can use to calculate the safety thickness for rimless tank.
  8. Thanks! Got a burgess 2 months ago but didn't make it Trying to add somemore species to my current collection
  9. Ending of a long weekend and starting of a new week! Looking for Chaetodon argentatus or Chaetodon burgessi. Anyone spot them
  10. Not sure myself too. I just view from the top and spotted the fishes. Quite easily spotted as the 3 fishes as they are bright orange and big
  11. Digiman, the garibaldi are in the concrete ponds on the lower level at the back. Hidden gems at the back. LOL Just call Steven. He say only 1 smaller piece out of the remaining 3 are for sale. the other 2 had been reserved for collection. All 3 are very healthy as they are from shipment sometime back.
  12. For Garibaldi, best best if you really want now is west at LCK201. They have 3 pieces. Also, they have eels with white stripe.. not sure if it is zebra eels. Sorry, i'm a idiot on eels. Cheers!
  13. another thing you might want to take note is whether you are going to use ozone with your skimmer later. Do note some models or brands of skimmer had limitation on ozone usage as the ozone might melt the impellor.
  14. Thanks Kira76. I had moved the posts and locked the old thread. This is an issue when someone asked question in old thread. Will live with it
