Mavqi, Keen to know the result you had on your 2 pumps ATI. Coz I'm currently running single pump(1262) model for my 5 footer. I would say the result is better than what I had expected. Lots of bubbles and quite fine as well. The good thing for me is I don't get the kind of mirco bubble problem as compare to the beckett i used to have. Skimmates are good as well. For the $ i spend, would say value for it. Waiting to see more posting on your result. Txs.

Bro, just for info. that price they are selling are very low compare to other LFS who had sell them before. If you hand carry back them from Japan, the diff is actually very little.

IMO if you are referring to just H&S & Schruan. H&S will be a better skimmer. Of course this question of which is the best skimmer always pop up. but there will never be a BEST skimmer coz there is always some Pros & Cons for each skimmer. I have been reefing since late 1996. I used to run just a RedSea berlin venturi skimmer and it serve my 6 footer well till I decom and move early this year. Everyone will have their own opinion on their own set of skimmer be it commercially or preference. My suggestion is always goes for an oversize skimmer so that you need not upgrade in future if you upsize your tank. Cheers!!!

2 hours should be fine. I had experience a 3 hr+ shutdown for my 6ft tank with lots of stocks. What I did was to ensure my MH is not turn on prior to the shutdown so that there is no chance of further warming of the water. Coz chiller may be chilling the tank mid way thru when the power disruption happen. Run a battery operated like what dleecool mentioned if you want to feel safer.

Therotically it will be better. 165W > 150W. But you need to note that MH give out more heat meaning your chiller will run longer and this may offset the difference or more electicity used as chiller generally using much more wattage or deploy more fans if you don't use any chiller to cool the water. At end of the day, you will need to decide what you want. Coz the effect using PL tube and MH does make a difference when it come to view and coral growth. Just my 2 cents worth.

Clown goby is used to SPS in their nature environment which is why it has moved to your new staghorn. You need to monitor closely your staghorn and the goby behaviour. If it start to bite or disturb the staghorn preventing the polyp extension, try and remove the goby ASAP. I have seen some clown goby living happily with SPS. Usually in a tank with quite a fair bit, coz they can move about the SPSs.

Bro Wonder, u r right on the IMM protion. This is the first building to have the light sensor. I go to IMM regularly as I stay in the west. I notice that the sensor cannot be trusted at time. It may show green light but when u drive near u see a damn car there. Likely sensor issue i think. This carpark lot availablility and sensor thing will be a trademark for all capitaland mall. New and upgraded.
