  3. Yup. The female do morph to male but will take a long time and the morph male in captive tank will not be as nice as the wild morph. It tend to retain some of the female colouration. For sunburst, try picking up the bigger piece and you have an established group of feeding anthias, it help to encourage the sunburst to come out and feed as well. Just sharing my personal experience. It work for me Check with Ah Beng or Irwana Auntie for fish shipment date. Usually the big ones are gone on fish shipment day if available, so must be fast hand fast leg.
  4. Yup. I agreed with you on the Tri-Colour. They are brilliant when well conditioned! Since you already have a community of anthias and looking to add more. I will suggest some of the below addition: - Sunset Anthias (Can be challenging) - Male Square Anthias (Since u have 2 female now) - Maldive's Blue eye - Sunburst (Poor cousin of the Blotched Anthia) I suggest you get a few Sunburst at once. They can live together in the same tank if release together. I had 3 in my tank currently.
  5. Hi, Keep an eye on this guy coz you may be putting your beautiful zoas at risk. I had used the Chem-Marin Stop Aiptasia with some success and the good thing is the product doesn't kill my zoas. The Aiptasias were growing in my zoas colony. Did not experience any little ones growing back when I 'nuke' the big one. I know some other products/methods used by the Bro/Sis in this reef had this issue. Let me know if you want some to try out coz I still have some balance in the fridge.
  6. Bro, the orange ones is likely the female Square Anthias. The redder one is Lyretail Anthias. The one you had is the close family of the Maldive's blue eye anthias, just that the colour is not so bright. If you are going into Anthias, avoid Tri-Colour Anthias at all cost. Trust me, they can be a real pain when become 'old bird'.
  7. LCK201 Lots of YT (small little ones to Large size) King Angels (4"+) Gray Angels French Angels Sohals (4"+) Kole Tang (many diff sizes) Flame Wrasses Barletts Aussie Misbar, black clownies.
  8. Reefing is just a hobby. Like any other hobby, it come with a cost. Unless you had other family commitment like kids, etc. If we start to think this think that, you will end up sitting at home doing nothing as any hobby cost $ as well. Not saying I'm deep pocket lah. Think of the joy and the therapeutic that come with it. Life is already quite miserable at times liao why make ourselves feel worst right. Just my 0.02.

  12. Nope. This is the Cortez Rainbow Wrasse which I had previously and sold away as it stir my sandbed quite a fair bit. Surprising it is quite reef safe for this family type of wrasse and never overturn my rock scape. And not to mention superb colouring. Hmmm... Seem like it has not hit our shore for a way now. Was plentiful at one stage. Look more like this one but not exact. Will keep you informed if I see the Cortez wrasse somewhere.
