Thanks! Deposit received. Thread closed! This has been a very life learning experience sale for me. Those who had bidded here. Thanks for your interest. P.S. I will not be fragging this zoas from my tank to be fair to the person who bought it.
-
Guys, Need to suspend this bid for now as I had an offer of $120/- which is above my reserve price. Will update here tonight .
-
Putting this frag of the sunflower zoas for bid. This variant had a distinct white dot in centre. Bid start at $20/- Every bid should not exceed $5. Easily 30 polyps on a 2"(est) rock. Bid close on 4th Nov 2300hrs based on my notebook clock. All rights reserved. =) P.S. Bid will close early if I received or bid reach my reserve price. Thanks! Winner can reject the frag if it is not to his/her satisfaction. Here is a photo from my lousy cam. Frag is nicer than in pic.

Should be ok, I had seen people keeping SPS under T5 with lots of success. I SMS u liao.

Ok. I might be wrong and pardon me if this is the case. Something which is good to know is that all SPS coloured up and grow differently under different tank conditions. In fact Cedric's photo is actually a good example. He had the luminous variant in the background of his pic. So, Cedric I will be calling on you soon.

no lah.. Just happen that I have so I know loh. Nothing compare to you and other SPS expert out there.

What's a good buy (reef eqpt) while in Hong Kong?
thomas_lim replied to jackywongto's topic in Members Tank & Specs
I doubt there is any international warranty for most product. It is a risk we got to take for the heavily discounted price. Pardon me if i'm wrong. So far, my 3 year old OR6500 which I got for nearly 50% of the price still going strong for me. TOuch wood. -

thomas_lim replied to jackywongto's topic in Members Tank & Specs
Yup.. In fact, you can find very competitive pricing for all Aqua Medic products there.. I used to get the liquid food there at nearly 50% of the price when u buy in a carton of 12. -
This is known as Seriatopora Guttatus. called Green tip birdnest in common name. This was in GO shipment last month. Not as rare as the luminous variant. But it is a very easy to keep birdnest. And fast grower. I had a huge colony myself too.

What is the ideal temp to set for reef tank
thomas_lim replied to ddon24's topic in General Reefkeeping_
Do note that not only corals need specific temp. Certain deep water species corals will need colder temp Same goes to several species of fish as well. In general, 28c will get you in good shape. -
Agreed with nakazoru, the key here is maintenance. Once you do your maintenance well, the chiller generally last you a good 5 to 10 years. Only thing it can be less efficient when it age lah.

Agreed... when i see 5 min.. i thought mati liao... And with both team 10 men... getting the shiver.. But it all turn out well... Nx week fullham away.. tought game... they just draw Man C coming from 2-0 down away..

Hi bro spirit, Thanks for your comments. But let me share my experience in this hobby. When I started this hobby in 1996, there is no forum as such. I had to look out yellow pages, visit LFS which I know and talk to the people who visit them or the owner to find out more about the hobby, new LFS location, etc. Read up books on the hobby, try and test whatever theories written there. I do noticed that with the "advance" technology these days, we lost this "self-help" effort to find out info. I started using this forum using search function whenever I came across a name I'm not sure. Maybe this is me. We simply just post and wait for reply. If we get, we just say thank you! if not, we got this feeling what kind of people this forum had. People who know me will know that I do share my experience/ideas when we meet in LFS, my place, etc when in met person. Not everyone are the know to be have the ability to share using forum. Sometime due to language barrier, etc. I always believe putting the extra effort will make you feel more attached to this hobby! Like you said Happy Reefing! This is my personal opinion and comment not that as a mod. Cheers mate!!!

Glad you caught a glimpse of it.. Think this fish is even rarely seen than those costing 4 figures. I believe it is the same fish coz Auntie say it had been there for a while but no one noticed. I was keen to get it to "partner" my existing one but hand too slow.. -

I never knew as well until auntie told me she had a rare basslet when I ask her if there is any other basslet. She mentioned the fish already feeding on mysis liao. I doubt anyone will see it without really looking closely under the rocks. This fish is super shy and hide 90% of the time. Mine only come out when the main day lighting is out even thou I had it for 3 years now. -
