  1. hi, i've got a skimmer...used for about a year for my 2 feet tank....u want it?? willing to let go at $40...still working well.... bought it at $70....price negotiable.. pm me if u are interested...should be good enough...
  2. any more yumas to let go or blue mushrooms??? i'll take them if u have!!! just PM u too...thanks
  3. hi AT, one of the guys i mentioned is Jeremy...the secretive guy that i told u abt him before. has a 9 feet tank in the east side of spore..can't remember exactly where coz it's been 2 years since i last saw it... but it's just awesome!!! as in, beat alot of those angmohs tank hands down..or at least on par with the hard core ones...very natual and good aquascaping too... no kidding...see to believe...he's got a good mix of corals...can prob ask kenny from pas** Ri* to see some of his tank pics...he should have..seen his 3 feet one before..equally good.. the other guy who is using 1600w like u is my friend...staying in the east too...think he is a member on this forum too but seldom comes online nowadays...rich fellow...no need to worry about electricity bills though..mum paying for everything...haha.. from his tank to slk for a 21 year old...how lucky!!!...
  4. lovely blue buttons u've got woon ming..can give some to me? been looking for those for a long time...i don't mind paying for them also..small frag also can... possible???
  5. hi, i used to have a 2 feet tank with canister as well...it is best if u can change and clean your filter once a week...if u are thinking of cleaning them once fortnightly, i think it would be better to just put nothing inside besides carbon and phosguard.. most of the time, the cotton or other filter media would cause a nitrate build up..let the live rocks and sand do the filtration...a good skimmer helps too...that's what i did last time too...nitrate also lower...compared to the high nitrates i had when i stuff my canister with bio balls, wool and other filter media...
  6. yah, might be stress response...but who knows...it could really be spawning. i'll like to think of it as spawning too...and you can start farming humilis already..haha...all the best!
  7. yo joe p... great knowing u too. haha..not exactly a sps freak compared to some others like my friends one of them has > 1600w for his 5 feet and another guy has slightly > 2000w for his 9 feet..hoping to keep a good mix of soft and hard corals, including sps.. but i'm leaning more towards the sps nowadays..but draining more pockets big time man... cheers for the hobby
  8. sounds like a good idea...so many "modes" that corals can be in..just amazing!!! nice colour you've got by the way!!!
  9. cool...imagine having a few hundred more humilis growing out soon...haha..or at least, the sperm is good food for your corals!!! seldom hear spawning events taking place in reef aquarium..... just a thought...but could the humilis have spawned so quickly?? afterall. u just bought them and they're still recovering from the shipping and still getting used to your tank??? certainly hope they really did spawned but what if it wasn't and was actually some other event which i do not know myself??? just wondering...
  10. dun think 3 t5's would be enuff for sps if u want a healthy growth and colouration.. 6 t5s would be a better choice... but if that's the case, i thought it's more feasible to invest in a 250w or 400w MH..even a 150w would be better IMO, supplementing it with actinics and such...
  11. nice tank!!! keep it up...must have been difficult keeping the parameters stable...
  12. wow...AT, u fragged hundred pieces?? can give one frag of your pink bird nest to me?? yah man, look to those reefers with a 1600w for a nice tan...haha... my friend has been using his 4 x 400w for the last 2 years..no wonder he's always so dark... think copper tone is needed for people like him. skin cancer..but funny, on the contrary, there's another guy whose 9 feet tank has 5(or 6) 400w but he's still as fair as ever....oh well....by the way, any idea if PR still has any pink bird nest???
  13. nice reef!!! but looks a little congested. the corals might not have space to grow or shadow other sps...prob need more frequent fragging...can always look for me if u wanna give away the frags. heh..but can't imagine if all goes well...1-2 years down and your tank will be awesome... all the best man!!! oh, i was at Pr that fateful sat night too...try to get hold of a pic and post the humilis and turquiose acro that i got...any idea if they still have the pink birdnest??? feel like getting it!!! any idea also what time does PR open? feel like dropping by but the last time i went on monday at12...they were still closed..wasted trip
  14. haha..my first post since the site went down!!! cool..can't wait for the goodies at aqua rama man....feels like a great singapore sale to me...
