Love the trumpet colony!! Would love to see more sand too once you clear some of the lps, zoas and sand. Haha.

Looking forward to this tank progress

Beautiful tank. Enjoyed this read in particular. Absolutely agree on simplicity and finding one method that works for you.

I think it unclogged itself after that. Still can't be sure. The ends of the tube are not submerged in water thiugh. Everything seems good this morning still thankfully. Thanks for the concern bros.

Yea. Quite a learning experience. I decided to bump it up fast mainly because of 2 reason primarily : 1) As pointed out, since no major stress signs shown by corals, might as well quickly bump up instead of prolonging their discomfort. Did a partial water change prior to that too. 2) kiasu/kiasee syndrome got the better of me. Haha.

I hope so bro. Only time will tell. For now, just happy that this was found earlier than later. Thanks for encouragement man!

Everything else seems normal though. Can only cross fingers for next few days. Current dKH bumped up to 8.2 after a few hours or painful drips.
-
Not sure if it's a psychological thing now. Noticed my bird of paradise turning white right at the bottom. Not sure if it's because of lack of light or the low dKH.. mind games.

I think my dosing channel might be checked. But did a manual dose and it works though. Don't know what happened honestly. This episode reinforced the importance of regular testing for me. Calcium and magnesium was normal though and only dKH was the anomally. Sigh....

Tank almost headed for a crash. Thankfully discovered it early but not sure what damage might have already set in. Did my usual fortnightly water test and saw my dKH at 4.9. Thought I may have made an error and did a second test and again, below 5. Panic kicked in and immediately visually checked the C Balance container container level and the B part did not move for a week. Which means no carbonate added for a week. And the trouble shoot begins....

Corals are really amazing. Within a few hours of placing the new acro near a green trumpet, only the trumpet polyp nearest to the across extended its tentacles for a fight
-
The monti I removed was reddish orange actually. But I'm now also looking for a purple monti cap though.
-
In return for a free kopi session actually. Haha. Better declare first
-
Replaced it with this left over piece from aquarist chamber which is still really nice. Been wanting more purple and blue in my tank and still looking for a galaxy or purple monti cap too.
-
Gave away a huge monti to a friend today as it was getting too big and having too much red monti in tank.

Beautiful tank and nicely coloured corals!!! Very inspiring!

One of the best reefing product I ever used. Didn't know ntuc fair price is into reefing products too. I think this made a lot of difference as I never had the luxury of using ro/di water for my tank since I started reefing as a student. Perfect for topping up fresh water for a small tank like mine.

Keep breaking this blue acro accidentally while cleaning glass. Let's see how the frags will behave unattended in a few months time. Hope to be surprised.
