  1. sorry, back to the vinegar issue..i've read the post before but found it quite messy and confusing.... anyone able to tell me 1) how/how much vinegar to add to the kalkwasser solution? 2)until all the sediments dissolve? 3)what brand to use? 4)1-1 ratio still maintained?
  2. anyway linkin park, 500ppm of calcium is too high... heh...
  3. hey thanks for the info.the calculator's really helpful... i think maybe my carbonate intake very high or something... adding 2.5 is just maintaining the dKH and not increasing it...will try to pump it up...yup, dun worry though, i wun one time add alot... and yah, i mix with water, then drip into my tank... i think i'll go bankrupt man...i bought the reef builder just 2-3 weeks ago..now finishing already
  4. my calcium levels ok...at 420...so dun think so...did water changes just in case ionically imbalanced..but also never work. yah, understand that i'm adding reef builder way beyond the recommended level...but still low leh..can go to 6 which is too low...was thinking of bringing up to 12 but looks like mataining at 8 also a problem now...
  5. should be able to fit nice on top of the tank...never tried coz always use the legs last time... but it's definitely not extendable...got legs then can extend... hotsoup: let u know what ASAP?? the picture u mean?
  6. Hi , 1. wondering anyone out there having the same experience? I'm gonna buy a different test kit to verify the existing AZOO dKH test kit... I'm having a dKH of 8 dropping to even 6 at times for my 3 feet tank despite adding 2.5 teaspoons of reef builder every day... 2. And I'm thinking of adding vinegar to kalkwasser. how do I do it? just add vinegar until i see all the sediments dissolve? (i've read the 'how to' post abt this somewhere in SRC, just wanna confirm that i'll be doing the right thing.) this will still keep the balanced ratio of calcium and dKH levels right?
  7. found a pic... exactly the same as the one danano is using... http://www.sgreefclub.com/forum/index.php?...opic=1992&st=15
  8. yup, i'm trying to lower the price as best as i can..was gonna sell to this guy the other time but kena played out. irritating man.. somemore i was initially gonna sell him at $60 but forgot got a small crack.... then told him i'll lower to $50 but so far he say want, still haven't reply to any msg... Back to you hotsoup, sorry, but i've got no picture of it..but it's the same kind as the one danano is using ...i think u can find it in the sps forum....shall try to find the link for u
  9. ML has 2" powder blues...selling at 25 i think....Henry brought in quite a few the other time. really nice!!!.. but the left over ones don't look that healthy leh...
  10. ML's the place to go for black tangs..pretty rare here...and be prepared to pay a big sum for it....so far, only see ML and LCK having....
  11. Hello, I've got a complete set of PL lights for sale...Got it for $100++ from aqu*Ma**. I've had it with me for about 1 and a half years. Comes with 2 X 55w tubes. One of the tube has blown already though. only the 20000k blue tube is still working. It does not come with the light holder(legs) as I broke it last time. So gotta let it rest on the tank if u're using it. Also got a small hair line crack at the side which i've mended and concealed. Lighting is good enuff for most corals. Decided to sell it only after getting my MH set. Selling at $50. Interested parties plz pm me. Sorry, dun have a dc, so can't provide any pics of it.
  12. someone was just selling it on this forum for $85 for a 25o MH set...try looking ard for those sps fanatics..when they upgrade to 400w, they'll prob be looking for buyers for their 150 or 250w....
  13. Can dIY loh...will be much cheaper than those commercialized ones... i got a 250w DIY set from a friend second hand for $100... Dun think he bought it for more than $200 i think...
  14. sea cucumbers work very well for me too...having a few sand sifting gobies might help also... but i think good water circulation is still the best from detritus build up
  15. hey soggy, relax brother!!! take it easy on Dr jekyl.... It's a 3 feet tank by the way.... heh
  16. in any case, that's one nice tank..neat and nice aquascaping!!! Why dun u fill your tank with more corals? still looks a little empty... maybe i just love seeing a really full tank..heh..keep it up!!!
  17. erm..if u can afford higher wattage, it'll be better..no harm..since most corals enjoy good lights...but why dun u consider MH for that $180 price tage?? thought it's better value for money
  18. i thought i heard somewhere that they wun be bringing any sps for some time after the last shipment??? the clams left over are still quite nice... $50 for one..but they're nice!!! worth it IMO
  19. same here..u're really fortunate...mine just got thinner and thinner and wasted away within half a year....
  20. i got it thru a fren from arofanatic forum...this guy was helping his friend sell them at one point..... yup....
  21. hi, the brand i got is trans instrument...shud be the same as the one being posted here.....
  22. maybe if u dun wanna shift the rocks, u can also choose corals that will fit a particular crevice that u wanna fill..play ard i guess...i sometimes chiselle the corals base or rock until they can fit into the holes..but be careful though...
