i think blastamoussa is the common name here... so far haven't heard of other names for it...as they said, it is a kind of lps...very much like torch or hammer corals...got skeleton and fleshy ...

yah, was a little disappointed when it opened too...doesn't look like the one on the pic hat was posted...oh well, lets juz see if the colours will return, which i think isn't gonna be easy. might have a small possibility..but i guess it is still unique because it still looks maroon, unlike most zoos we see here...

looks like a hairy crab! best to remove it espeically if u have sps coz they are notorious for devouring acro tissues

hi Joe, What's the brand and rating of your skimmers??? and what is the colour temp of your pl lights? how many feet? how many tubes does it come with? i'll take it if it is a 20000k 2 feet light

i thought venturi skimmer refers to the kind of system that the skimmer uses and not its brand??

Hi jazzben81, yup, i can't remember...i think either no. 2 or 3 sand...i think courser sand works better for plenuums....although fine sand would look more aesthitically more pleasant... i'm not too sure exactly the reason why courser sand works better but this marine biologist whom my friend has been liasing with recommended that...

i hope my birdnest retains its colours also man!!! i bought it for only abt a week and a half ago...heh. keeping my fingers crossed...but thanks for the positve feedback so far. i'm still learning also...

yah, i'm so glad i got a birdnest of good size during the last shipment..coz i was there only on monday and i was worried most of the good stuff would be sold by then!! oh, i just fragged a piece of the birdnest...i'll see how it goes..if it does well...can pass it to u!!!

right side of my tank. reserved for buttons and such! the yellow polyps are spreading pretty well. when i first got it, they started to disappear one by one till i had 4 polyps left. now growing back to abt 12 polyps...the sinularia was propagated from a colony..that's why so skinny!!! keeps growing taller but not fatter. sad....

my humilis tips recovering well from my fragging due to algae growth...the colour is greener than when i bought it. looks more yellowish when i got it during PR's first sps shipment

Hello, I've got : 1) a protein skimmer for sale. I bought it slightly more than 2 years ago when i had my first 2 feet marine tank. but realised it takes up too much space. ended up in storage for 1 year. I only started using this protein skimmer for abt 6 months when i upgraded to my 3 feet. so, actual usage period is only the 6 months in my 3 feet tank. still in good working condition. except for some coralline patches on it. Bought it around $60 plus last time. willing to sell at $30. Interested plz pm me. 2)got a pretty big colony of assorted colour buttons. the outer part is greenish. the centre of the buttons come in some yellow, some looks bluish and some orange. I wouldn't say the colours are outrageous though. selling at $10 Collection preferably at outram area... Regards, Mellow
