yup, kindda agree with DA and Hon too...looks pretty dead to me. I remembered having this acro that turned green too when it died last time..as AT said, might be good to double check with a better picture?

Hi, Kindda agree with killfire on his points. If I'm not wrong, I read somewhere before about this reefing myth that specifically talked about the misconceptions most reefers have about higher kelvin = better coloration and stuff. Maybe jd_n, u might wanna take a look at that article?

Hi, To those who are planning to go to sungei tengah, can anyone help me buy the white pulsing xenias??? excellent tank you've got seahorse..seriously one of the best i've seen so far!! Like the way u actually group your tank into different areas for different specimens...kindda brings out their full beauty!!! yup, and the sps area is simply breathtaking......way to go brother!!!

u have lovely acros!!! it does remind me a little of joe_p's old tank... yup, really nice!!! Give it more time...when the acros grow and overrun your tank..that'll be even awesome.....

do agree with Acanthurus pyroferus that at times, in some ways, we might have come a little too strongly on such reefers??? I think we do need more patience at times, especially to newbies and those so called stubborn ones. Explain to them in the correct light, why and what they are doing wrong and stuff...???A little patience definitely goes a long way.... Of course, we can understand why some of us are annoyed because we are talking about living things here, beautiful marine life which brings us joy and satisfaction but I feel that it might not help matters if we just keep going down so hard on him....a softer approach will be more helpful i feel...

thanks danano! I kindda want the coralline to cover my side and back glass totally. haha... I got my tank from marine pets. gilbert introed me to this cabinet maker called ah weng... if u want, i can pm u his number....pretty neat. Did sliding doors for my cabinet instead of those normal flapping kind coz my tank is just 1 feet from my bed..no space to open if using normal doors... Yup, i think ill just leave my dkh levels as it is..

i'm already using a fair bit of reef builder to bring it up...but not much increase...will probably have to live with it....

hi dr evil..i love mixed reefs too...more things to look at..and i have a soft spot for leathers and soft corals...i like they way they sway around..heheh...dun really see too much conflicts between my softies and sps...thankfully!!!! hey deepblue, i'm glad u like my tank..can always drop me a msg if u wanna visit me again..

hi, my tank parameters are those pretty basic ones.... ph: 8.2-8.4 SG: 1.025 KH: 7-9...my biggest headache...still having difficulty bringing it higher temperature: 26-27.5( no chiller. only fan and aircon at night) calcium: 440 magnesium: 1380 nitrate: 5 nitrite/ammonia: not tested. lighting: single DE 250 10000k BLV supplemented by actinics filtration: started a refugium 2 months ago. just got myself a new skimmer....wasnt running a skimmer or refugium for almost 2 months when i sold off my macro and hasnt started my refugium. using plenuum as well. that's all i can think of so far...very basic equipments i should say. no calcium reactor and those sophisticated gadgets...all calcium and other supplements are dosed manually everyday including top off water...yup, but really enjoying every bit of it....heheh
