Hi all, Here's some updates on my new tank after my old tank gave way... Little intro of my tank: Tank dimensions: 2 by 1.5 by 1.5 ft main tank with a slightly smaller sized sump. Protein skimmer: AquaC Urchin with Sicce Idra Lighting: 250w DE 10000k BLV supplements by 2 x 24w blue PL lights Biological filtration: About 30kg of live rocks Using plenum with about 4 inches of grade 5 sand over it Circulation: Using a Dymax 1800 as return pump. In addition, using a rio seio 620 and a 900l/h power head to provide additional circulation. Total turnover about 38 times Supplements added: only using kalkwasser as top up every night Misc info: sg = 1.025, temp = 26-28, dkh = 9, calcium = 420, , magnesium = 1420

I seldom service the pump. Too lazy to do that. The time I serviced it was after my old tank was scraped. Didn't wanna clean them coz each time I removed them to wash, it's hard to stick them back on the glass...too much coralline. Yup, I'll soak the pump in vinegar for a couple of minutes if I ever service them though...

good coralline growth u have there bro. Anyway, just wanna share this. I've had tremendously growth in my old tank too. Though I didn't use anything much besides maintaining high calcium and dkh. Though at the start, I did use some combisan.... A pic of my power head covered totally with coralline

Had the good fortune to see his tank's new look. jaw dropping.... looks more natural to me than before and more open...very very nice.... not forgetting the colours of his acros and a wonderful reefer...
