BH, Just to share my personal experience. The phoenix are really worth a try though. I changed from blv to phoenix lately and it really coloured up the sps very nicely. But I feel the growth has reduced but not considerably as compared to blv. But then again, my tank is only 2 feet and and all the sps are the most 5 inches away from the water surface. So maybe they might still be getting sufficient light. Overall, I'm happy with the phoenix bulb. Gives the whole tank a cooler and bluer effect too as opposed to the yellowish tint from BLVs.

harlequin marine has lotsa of very nice coloured hard corals list of those I can remember: Acan blastos (some really nice unique colours and very red ones as well) green branching hammer true octo crocea clams orange short tentacle plate brains blue and red mushrooms red cyarinas prata Didn't ask for any of the prices though

some of my corals. nothing too fanciful though..the green staghorn's growing really well and hoping it'll reach the water surface soon.

anyway, I've finally switched to the phoenix 14k bulbs. Definitely nicer than the blv bulbs which were too yellowish. Seems to colour up the pink milli quite well too. anyway, here's my full tank look for now.

some updates as of today for personal reference. had 4 clams spawning last week and later this week, all 4 died. Suspect it is due to a minor accident which caused my water temp to rise to 30 deg cel for a couple of hours. right on that night, all the clams spawned and now, almost all dead. The only survivor left and hoping it'll pull through. Gaping quite a bit already
