  3. Hey yo Bro's!!!! Its been quite a while. Well yust to update you bro's my Nanocube is now over 4months old. Here's a pic of the tank. All comment/advise welcome. Give your tots please................
  4. really ah??? 28 deg ok ?? that case Im kiasu lah..... Thanks bro for telling me. Wah...waste a lot on utilities bills man. But all for a good cause. I dont want mt LS to suffer mah.....
  5. yo bro, I was the one who did'nt do my homework and got my blood sucked. My nanocube is now 3 1/2 monts old and is still going strong. But you'll have to change your water weekly instead of monthly. This advised was given to me by a worker in one of the fishfarm in pasir ris who actually supply the tank and the fishes to TM shop. True the nanocube got this build in fan but it is actualy useless. the fan cannot maintain a temp of 25deg. so i have to on my home aircon just to maitained the temp. what to do bro, you have to take care of your tank even if it means more utilities bill. so my advise to you is to follow all the bros here and go for a diy tank. I'll post a pic of my nanocube later.
  6. check your overlfow bro. My nemo suddenly went missing without a clue and i start suspecting this and that but it acually survive for a week hiding behind in the bioballs compartment.
  7. hi guys, tot u guys would like an update on my nanocube tank. So far it will be 3 months this coming saturday. so far so good. Here some pics guys. Errr if the picture appear to large, I hope colinsoon will be seing this and resize the pic for me coz I got no idea how to do it..... Thanks
  8. yeah bro, Thanks for the link. I do not even know that at woodlands there's a marine shop.
  9. hello bro.... $4800!!!!! phew.... I paid $850 for my nanocube + set-up, corals and fishes and all the bros here Whack!!! me left, right centre for being so naive and accepting the so call maintenance free tank offer from TM fish shop. Now my advise to you is to look around and u will get far better deal. The bros here im sure can help you. Infact, I beggining to realise that there is no such thing as hassle free tank. You have to do something at least to keep your tank going. Im now beginning to to testing with all the test kit that Ive bought. It kinda fun actually. And I've learn to top up tap water only after conditioning the tap water with anti chlorine and running it at least one day. But to be honest, for the first month, I just top up my tank with purely tap water but nothing happen. But I want to be a responsible reefer, so I took all the advise Ican get here and follow them gradually. So far my nanocube is surviving after 2 1/2 mths without chiller and skimmer.
  10. ha..ha Damsels are a smart fish. I dont think fish trap will be enough to temp them. Bro, I waited for two hours with my net to catch them and all they did is just hide under those rocks. Take my advised.... take all your liverocks out then you'll be able to catch them.( thats what I do ) Don't even think off leaving a single rock inside your tank coz they will try to hide under it too. Happy fishing. Btw, u can give your damsels back to the fish shop. They'll take it. I gave mine away to the shop. But if you got anyone that is willing to take your damsel, You should give it to them instead of the fish shop.
  11. Well, so far my tank is good. No casualty " TOUCH WOOD". Im no expert but like most of the bros said, take care the water and the water will take care of your stocks. I change my water once every two weeks with sea water I bought. Let it run for one day b4 I change the tank water 20%. Maintain temp around 24-26 at night and 26-28 in the day.( without chiller ) . I used my home aircon lor... so far its ok.
