  1. spot on, came out of nowhere. wasn't paying much attention to it until i realised how scary it could be.
  2. thanks for all the inputs! have a very specific use for the kent Tech M magnesium so can only use this particular brand. Polyart doesn't carry the particular additives which i'm looking for. Will be checking out bukit merah!
  3. added 2 thick rubber hose to the feet of the pump. I've heard others enjoying great success with EPDM but have never tried it myself
  4. Ehiem 1260 for me..with a bit of modification it becomes super silent

  6. can you share with us your containment box ? dust flying everywher when I'm using dremel tool
  7. If you look close enough, i believe you'll be able to see fangs on it, saw a similar worm chasing a fish out of its cave! remove or "sump it"
  8. anyway at the risk of sounding like I'm exaggerating. My tank have been skimmerless ever since it started. 2 years old, no skimmer, no water change (at all). Keeping SPS, Soft corals, BTAs and livestocks. so far no casualties yet. using UAS..
  9. what is the dimension of your tank? scape looks incredible
  10. vote for melanurus too...flat worm all gone.
  11. grade 0 ? Possible...but you're probably gonna have a sand storm
  12. very nice looking tank, love the natural look
  13. my experience with skunk shrimp is that it gets bold after a while...in fact too bold that it steps all over corals, live stocks when it is trying to get to food.
  14. works like a charm for me...coming to 2 years tank.
  15. personally, the idea of a reef tank is to create something which is as natural as possible. And for that sand is necessary, really up to personal preference
  16. tropic marine for me...fishes and corals are nice and healthy
  17. Plumbing supplies can be bought near henry's new place (marinelife). its at the same block just around the corner. You'll find 3 hardware stores and they carry plumbing supplies.
  18. Personally polyart....very competitive pricing, even compared to its "neighbour"
  19. everything that I don't want goes into the sump where they can pick off detritus or remaining food.
  20. my whole tank was infested with them when I first started out. Don't worry, they will go away soon enough.
  21. Fish still available. do PM your mobile if interested. Thank you.
  22. Melanurus wrasse going for $14. healthy and eats everything, size is around 3.5inch. been with me for around 1.5 years. For those who are unfamiliar with this species, it popular in the trade for its voracious appetite of harmful pest of SPS corals and more. Do a search online and you find out its numerous benefits. Mine have been living peacefully for for the past 1.5 years with 2 clowns and 1 mandarin and 1 blenny. Selling to make space for other fishes. only for people with substrate since this fish sleeps in substrate. Collection will be done in Jurong west St 24. Please PM if interested.
