May not be the triggers... If the Picasso is doing it he will do it right in front of you so you can see... Check water parameters. I have five triggers. None bite my zoas. I keep them super well fed though
-
Turbo snails are safe... Shrimp definitely NOT...
-
yes they are. only interested in food and never touches anything else
-
Yah it was cute ... but it looked so stressed. And i was right - my friend has zero aggressive fish in his tank and now the green puffer is vibrant green again.
-
Had a green puffer for a few months but the color turned from vibrant green to almost grayish black.... Guess it was stressed by the triggers constant chasing it.... Gave it away...
-
Porcupine fish and boxfishes for me.... Not really that odd .... Any idea if a gurnard will survive in my tank ? Five triggers / grouper and a moray lurk... Let me rephrase that - are they hard to feed ? Pellets ?

I have five triggers in my tank (clown/blue lined/Picasso/ Niger/ undulate). Mostly sponges/ softies and a few fungia/ gronio etc. None have ever touched my coral. Only exception was a clam which the clown tried a bite but ignored it after that... So yes it's all dependent on temperament but just keep them well fed.

T95 has a lot of copperbands. All sizes available - rough estimate at least 20 pieces. -
It really depends on the individual actually... I've been keeping triggers for almost a decade so i do have a bit of experience in them. I would say be careful with Undulates - i have had some truly satanic ones - killing damsels and storing them in crevices like snacks for later..... Shrimps and snail ... not really sure - it was my moray which ate the shrimps but snails I still have some..... And a clam ! my triggers ignore it (cause they are really well fed) And always always start feeding whenever you introduce a trigger. Once you see your new trigger munching and investigating the rocks and coral?? Start flooding the tank with multiple food types- see what it likes and then keep feeding it..... Make it understand that food will come and it does not have to scourge the tank for it.... Anyways Sealife has some really tiny clown triggers (1 inch) so if you start at that size they will easily fit into a community tank. From Sealife I just got another trigger as well - a one inch blue line .... really pretty fish when grown up (rare at that size as well. Sealife still has one more).

I beg to differ as I have kept a few clown triggers before and for triggerfish their tempers vary and are unique to each individual. I had a picasso trigger which attacked anything and everything within the tank - coral and even an empty sea shell if you drop it in. I have had 2 clown triggers (one killed by power trip to tank) within the last 2 years and both are really peaceful. They investigate every new thing to the tank but end up ignoring it. I hava only seen one weird incident when the first clown trigger tried killing a pipefish...?? it was really weird as this is what i have in my tank: chromis/damsels/flame angel/naso tang/ toby/ porcupine fish/moray/ grouper/picasso, undulate trigger He chases the Flame sometimes but never actually bites - they have been together for like 6 months My advise when choosing a trigger is to NOT pick the one that reacts too much to you (its not like buying a puppy) -those that try to bite you through the tank? Not a good sign- too aggressive.... Choose one that is slightly afraid of you - stays in the corner but is looking at you. Just my 2 cents.

Update : ended buying one since its only $1.80 and gave it a try... Been ok for past 3 days but got a problem now ... my Minata Grouper hates it and has tried to eat it a few times...hope of survives..

Are the Flame Hawks at LCK still the small ones? Need something at least 2 " in my tank to prevent it from becoming moray food. As for the puffers at Ah Bengs- do note that some of those may be the Spotted Porcupine (Diodon Hystrix) or the normal porcupine puffer - both can get close to a meter. So enticing to buy but the maximum size is a real issue.
-
So nobody has had any luck in acclimatizing these FW puffers?? Guess its a sign for me to stay away...
-
Did an extensive google and there are folks who have figure 8 puffers in full marine setups... Problem is I don't have another tank to acclimatize them over time...
-
Saw freshwater green spotted puffers in a fish shop in marine water (Plaza Singapura B1). Initially i was skeptical but its been 3 weeks and the fish are still doing fine... Any thoughts? I like the green spotted and figure 8 but they are both supposed to be FW/brackish?? How would they fare in a true marine tank?

Its a Red Sea NO3/PO4 Supplement. Will take a pic for you when i am back in Singapore. I do not use Test Kit also. Just dose 7 ml every night - like i said my fish guy recommended. Anemone headache lah - seen my friend's one keep attempting to climb out, and you said yours turned the tank cloudy. My C.Chip Star is in the sump. want it to eat detritus !! will try sea urchins - in sump so no issue about them knocking stuff.
