Dear all, I have been in and out of reefing for the last few years due to work commitments. Anyway to keep the story short, I decided to renew my passion and come back to reefing again. The tank specs and equipments as follow: Tank: 48"x 24"x 24" Lightings: Maxspect Razor 120w x 2 Skimmer: Skimz Kone SK1 Chiller: Hailea 1/4 hp w/ Aquabee 3000 Wave Maker: Tunze 6065 x 2 Return Pump: Eheim 1262 Uv: Coralife 9 watt Uv w/ Eheim compact 1000 Addictives: Caribsea Purple Up, Calcium, Phosbuster, Ammonia buster etc. I used to rely a lot on equipments such as calcium reactor, kalkwassar reactor, Auto top-up system, controllers and monitors etc. However, this time round I decided to keep things simple and minimise on all kinds of unnecessary equipments.

I think the shipment was from e last few days. and the acans / blastos are from Iwarna and the lfs in front of Ah beng shop. Not quite sure wad's the name.

Frogfish on a feeding frenzy. Ate 6 damsels today.

Good day all, I have always been very intriqued by frogfish and other predator fishes. In my years of reefing, I have kept various tanks and species including black tip sharks, frogfish, bamboo shark, various species of stingrays etc. My latest tank is a Nano tank (34 lires) with the capacity to keep a maximum of 3 frogfish between 3-4 inches. I just got the tank recently from Ah beng (Pasir Ris LFS) and the brand is Oceanfree, it comes with a tank, pump and led lightings. However, you will have to get your own fan (Dymax recommended) to keep the temperature around 27-28 degrees. The latest addition is a 3 inch black frogfish and it is feeding on a healthy diet. Since there's no skimmer, the plan is to change 20% water volume every twice a week. Previously I have kept my frogfish in a 4x2x2 feet tank and they couldn't catch their prey, hence the change to a nano tank.

lots of flame angel at iwarna and ah beng. spotted some nice blasto, acans and etc at both iwarna and ah beng side.

Lots of yellow tangs spotted at Ah beng today. Some powder blue tangs as well.

I have been reefing for more than 8 years and i have tried T5, Led, Mh. . and most brands you have think of. If you ask me, MH still gives the best results depesite the high electricty bills. LED is good, but it still doesn't give you the same effect as MH.

Best pellets ever: New Life and Dainichi. Ocean Nutrition is not good.
