  1. went to pac*** mar*** last sunday, quite aq number of clams....
  2. fuel's goni is a long tentacle, different from mine and u cant really compare the way they 'bloom and smile'... but just the same, gonis are known to be short lived in captivity and highly not recommended.... guess i need a knock in the head for being so stubborn keeping it
  3. how much r u willing to let go? how big is it?
  4. i want it but im staying at the west side....earliest i can take it is late afternoon/early evening.... anyway, good luck on ur sale bro....
  5. let me know asap... will keep it open market til u confirm.....
  6. hi fuel.... just wanna share my goni as promised.. not meant to compete w u or anything, just pure education for all of us... im open as well for all comments as well.... and sorry, lousy digicam
  7. never tried planted tanks though.... but advised by some reefers of this situation.. i am aware its a long tentacled goni, but notice that the right side is stretching far more than the left portion.... not an expert on this and pls dont take it personally, no offense... will post my goni pic later just to show how it 'spherifies' into a big even ball.....
  8. fuel, ur gonis r stretching out too long.... dont u think so? means they r trying to reach for intense lighting......
  9. wat's ur tank depth? im also using 2x150w for my 4ft x 2ft x 2ft and keeping montis and a few acro frags, doing fine...
  10. bwilly, u r a clownfish so immuned to sting
  11. the bottom tube in the skimmer cup surely will drip waste, but i didnt seal it... regular maintenance that is aside from the fact that my sump is situated at my backyard so no worries for dirty floor.... i believe letting ur skimmer sit inside the sump wont solve ur problem, coz in the end the water dripping from ur skimmer cup is discharging back to ur water system which is pure, highly nutritious waste....
  12. hey dude, i accidentally had the same experience... there was 1 night that i manually switched of one power point thinking that its my handphone charger, unaware that it's the main power supply for my filtration and powerheads!!! just realized it the next morning when i saw no movement in my tank... really stupid of me i admit, thank god no casualty at all..... well, not saying its advisable not to do anything, nor it would be the same situation as mine... but take precautions.. at least water movement if not filtration will help... car batteries, u reckon?
  13. water cycling.... at the same time make plans as to what u intend to keep and read and learn more about it....check as to how far r u willing to invest on this hobby and weigh ur needs and wants...
  14. heard from someone before that keeping jellyfish needs sandy bottom alone and no liverocks... how true is it and what's the reason?
  15. ok... based on ur diagram, my skimmer has only one hole with a tube protruding from it, unlike urs, which is 3 holes... i guess ur problem is if u adjust ur water level high, water comes out is it? but shouldnt be the case coz is it connected to any piping/hose from inside to the core of ur skimmer? in any which way, y dont u attach a rubber hose long enough so it can breath even water level is up? that's what i did in my skimmer.... as for the water level, i even go up to the level of the cetral/upper portion of the inverted cone so more bubbles produced will pump up and in the skimmer cup. but ur level should be balanced or water will spill out of the red knob piping.
