think better look at the performance at height constraints rather than the label... usually they dont perform as tagged when it comes to head loss.....

i shipped mine thru USPS, they charge US$30..... think try to c how much aquamart is selling first, compare price overseas plus shipping then decide which one to get.. usually if local is abit expensive, say about $10-$20, i'd buy it; saves u time and rest assured u can grab and go in the lfs... plus the sleepless nites u'd have anxiously waiting for ur shipment... btw, the cheapest turboflotor i've seen so far is US$130... not sure but u may ask other reefers if they got cheaper lobang....

i got it for $425.... brand new... not sure coz what's selling on the market lately is the 2002 series... but the ev-240,the model which replaced it, is selling around $850-$900

coz i got it cheap, though its been 3months used...i find aquac expensive but worth the money as it performs well... if u have the budget, go for it, but for practical and financial reasons, i would go for aquamedic turboflotor 1000, its just that i got a lucky bargain on a better skimmer....

dont get me wrong bro... what i meant by too shallow is ur depth; 1ft plus sand plus lr would give u very small space for ur ls.... cheers!

www.reefcentral.com ev-200 is the first aquac series, which was replaced by ev-240... i advise you go for aquamedic turboflotor 1000.....

i did a query about that a few weeks ago in reefcentral, cant decide whether to get berlin classic xl or aquamedic turboflotor 1000... responses from using them favor turboflotor, and find it very efficient...not say though that berlin xl is not, but most of them advised turboflotor 1000.... good skimmer... but in the end i got myself an ev-200

quality liverocks comes with a price for sure.... it's expensive in $$ digits only.... you get a cheap liverock with the description lvcap said, think twice..... ur liverock is actually more expensive coz u got a bad rock with alot of problems and still u pay for it.... money down the drain.... just my opinion....

been searching locally for the original design of the parabolic spider reflector locally, gave up.... only place u can get it is import, cheapest i saw is reefanatics.com, marinedepot.com is not bad as well since it comes as a set.... other than that, u may want to settle w locally made reflectors which imitates thedesign and computations of the parabolic spider... not bad and i think its practical....some reefers are selling it....

if u r using de mh, then i believe it is a must.. but for se mh, i dont think it is necessary to filter it....

i missed those days when lr wer still selling $6-$8/kg..... now all lfs shoot up prices... i saw the ls in some lfs selling at $8/kg.... i wouldn't waste my money buying it as i can see there is no 'life' in those rocks, rather save afew more bucks and buy quality ones at a abit more higher price...

i find henry's lr good and worth a buy.... $12/kg but full of coralline...very rich and comes in different shapes n sizes...

rumor, just need ur expertise... can u enlighten me with the difference between the original aquac models as compared to the 2002 series? any siginificant development? and replacing the old models, with the new series, does it necessarily mean that the old models are not good performers? thanks!

just some words i've heard and read, cycling period need not run protein skimmer.... good thing u haven't tweaked ur ev-180 yet to full function...

maybe u can go reefers' places and catch all their camels out foc.... become pest controller seriously, heard that they are really not reef safe....
