i would suggest a "Y" connector rather thana "T"..... a "T" connector would lead the pumps shooting at each other.....

but the way i c it, no need for flow control, coz its flow is by gravity....ive heard that grey is better than white, but not necessarily white wont do good.... btw, i am using white and i have no problems w it.... correct me if im wrong....

40 mm??? 25mm out and in is 20mm then adaptor to 15mm would be good enough

well, my canopy is on the way... did the design, and asked my contractor to do for me.... and yes, its 18 inches high!! not going to include the light casings, just the reflectors to make it lighter coz i am much more worried with the stress it would put on my glass tank rather than the aesthetic look of my setup.... but then again, my tank is 2ft high, sitting on a 1m cabinet, and putting up a 1.5ft canopy atop doesnt really look bad; almost proportional i suppose....

bro, just a question, is the aircon still on during the weekends when nobody's working in the office? or even at late nite? we used to keep a tank in the office as well and its quite hard to keep corals stable ... working hours is really too cold, i agree, reaching 20deg as well, but after work and during weekend, it is pretty warm.... so the corals experience extreme cold and extreme warm temperature, making it almost impossible to keep, especially sea anemones!!! solution we did is just do away with the corals, and keep damsels....

i am diying my canopy... the reflectors are all concealed, just make the canopy a bit higher...

standard voltage is 220v and 110v is manufactured for US users... not sure how cheap is cheap, but u may want to source out the price here, compare there, and if its cheaper, bulk oder!!!!

i asked the advise of a senior reefer about such water contact of se bulbs.... if its just a spray or sprinkle, the se bulb is too hot that it will simply evaporate and salt debris left.... but if it's a splash, that's a different story... to play safe, just give ample distance from water to the bulbs ....

heard tunze streams are cheap there......

bro, u r reffering to the 250w mh from victron.... yup... uv protected since its an se bulb... i find the casing rather bulky as well, taking the essential parts and just diy it on my hood... good luck onu bro!!! cheers!

bro, dont take their comments as negative feedbacks...but u better be safe than sorry, it's quite true, ikea products are not durable and strength doesnt last.... u dont want to end up wasting setup all because of a cheap yet unreliable cabinet... think twice, just an advice.... cheers!

there is a way to compute number of fish per gallon but still probable; depends on the size and types of fish, ur feeding habit......take note: tangs poo alot, producing lots of waste...

weekly water changes.....

in my own understanding, close loop is an external pump, draining water from the main tank, without any filtration or media and circulating the water back to the tank just to create water current or motion.... so it's just rotating ur water to create water movements in ur tank.... correct me if im wrong...
