  8. selling flame angel fish (from previous Iwarna shipment) size approximately 1.5" very healthy, selling as I want to decrease bioload. looking at $30 and will give a bicolour angel about 1" in size FOC. interested, kindly pm me. jon
  9. hai cheong plastics..... they got everything a reefer will need for plumbing...
  10. nice project..... but bro your acrylic stand looks scary.
  11. depends on your requirements actually as well as set up. best is if you could drop by Iwarna and speak to Victor, he would be happy to help you and usually they will set it up for you.
  12. it's more like calcium than stroNtium.
  13. pinnacle has both, nice colonies.
  14. i agree. aside from which, ratio of oxygen supply in tank is lower (area of water surface for oxygen exchange against volume of water). Not saying it's bad but it could be better if your water surface area is bigger. i would go for a deeper tank, 4 x 2.5 x 2(h) as i find light and oxygen issues are easily resolved and ease of maintaining/reaching in.... mostly, rockscaping is alot nicer with deeper/wider tanks (not to mention that fishes usually swim horizontally rather than up and down) my two cents.
  15. i myself don't practice water change, just water top-up using ro/di...... this sps reef tank lasted me 14 months until it died due to power outage in office hence decommissioning it... Uploaded with ImageShack.us
  16. can send to Derrick as well.... I just sent mine for same problem....
  17. was wondering how where you able to measure 800 in a salifert test kit, and in any case, an ionic imbalance will show symptoms of really high calcium concentration. as per other reefers' suggestion, partial YET gradual water change will help -- other than that, buy lotsa sps A responsible reefer will test his water parameters from time to time -- test kits is not a waste of money but constant buying of livestock to replenish dead ones due to poor husbandry is.... any senior reefer will agree on that.
  18. workmanship is not bad, i have been using them for all my tanks and they are reliable.
  19. 6mm is for my sump and main tank is 12mm... i usually opt for 8mm thk for sump but i have looked through the design of this sump and 6mm is enough to hold this. brucetom, my tank maker is in Kelantan Road.
  20. i've got mine done a week ago, 3ft L x 2.5ft W x 2ft H, 12mm thk glass with front and one side crystal glass and a 2ft L x 1.5ft W x 1.5ft H sump, 6mm thk for less than S$600 inclusive of delivery. That is without the cabinet though.
  21. using butterfly plugs on false ceiling is not a sure bet -- gypsum ceiling is made of soft material and chances of giving way on a heavy load is very high. Ketchup is right - reinforcing it with timber internally is the solution.
  22. since ive started reefing almost a decade ago he has been around and helpful.... reliable guy with a real passion to the hobby.... hats off to ah bac
