  1. actually that's one thing that i kept thinking of.... if its precisely calculated as calciumreef has said, a bit of adjustment in angle would be a change in the amount of light reflected.....the light reflected would bounce totally different....
  2. gee... dont know u well enough, a bit calm from the start and condemnation afterwards.... heheheh... like fishing, gentle and enticing but once lured, will strike back hard and fast!!!

actually my colleague tried using halogen fixtures before..... aside from giving out a very yellow spectrum, its very warm and the bulb gets busted easily.. he changed 4 times and in the end he finally gave up... he took it coz its pretty cheap... but if doesnt serve the purpose, its just money down the drain no matter how cheap it is...

if u change the bulb into mh, then its better off u buy a set of mh...
  12. not really sure if hiding literally means it's sick or dying... a thing i notice when my anemone is dying is the mouth looks like its turning inside out and excretes slimy stuffs...
  13. yeah... better not take the risk of mixing.... i guess it could work if they are both introduced in a tank at the same time, aside from which the first tang would have established it as his territory and will bully the new tang.....
  14. is it a weipro? all the while i knew its an azoo brand....... anyway, ask foxprime about weipro mh... he's using one, saw it in action and its quite bright... just ask him feedbacks anyway...
  15. have a friend who has a 2.5ft fl bulb lighting set, n she has a hard time looking for fl bulbs that size..... maybe one of the reasons.....
  16. yeah... noticed that.... so there's no possible way to mix powder brown tang is it? hmmm... too bad
  17. had encountered that 'hiding anemone' before.... n it did under my rocks.... water change.... water change...water change....
  18. agree.... i have 9 chromis n its just nice to watch them swim together with coordination... would be much prettier to watch them in a bigger tank where there's more room to swim around... currently have a 4x2x2 tank though... 1 thing is they grow so fast... bought them a few months ago and now has reached more than double its actual size....
  19. any pics? i have a hippo tang and a purple tang, dya reckon it safe to keep with?

im staying in a condo ground floor unit, so i mounted it at my backyard... my tank is 4ftx2ftx2ft, and i think 2 150w is the least i can use, dont think 1 mh can light up my tank properly... as for the issue of uv glass, no worries at all, its been changed prior to installation

removed the gears inside the shell to make it light, and mounted it outside of my house, which at the same time lessens the heat produced and affects my water temperature the minimum possible....
