how often do u feed ur ls? try to consider this aspect of discharging nutrients in ur water....

err... not much left, filtered last night by most reefers....heard that more than half the shipment were sold wee hours in the morning... early bird catches the biggest worm.. hehehehe acro prices are really good.... worth buying...

try to imagine, the weight of the 8ft is distributed evenly in a big area of slab, but in ur case, a 4x4ft is in a small area... the stress point is higher....

of course I know it's serious but if you notice that the cabinet is not solid but hollow and it's only supporting the glass weight of the tank with water and LR. I have used an 8 footer in my previous home with no balcony support at the bottom and it stood there for all the 10 years that I lived. Don't look at the cabinet as extra weight because without the tank I could move it myself.

i find the last design better... remember its just a 2' cube, putting the overflow box in the middle will split the space of ur tank making it more cramp..

gearboxes ive seen down there are for industrial, steel/aluminium, not plastic...worth around $40 up....

u need a gear box to house ur ballasts, capacitors, ignitors.... u can get them in electrical shops in kelantan lane

wouldnt it be a good idea to put up an 'online library' where fellow reefers would lend books to each other.. maybe reefers with good books and hearts share it with responsible and trustworthy people.... just a thought.....

not to consider the wattage consumption.... its pretty low as compared to eheim.... btw, im not discouraging u guys about red sea berlin... in the first place i wouldnt take interest on bidding on it if i find it crap... its just that in found a better deal with a skimmer which i find fits my set up better..... no offense bros....

i am using a 2 x150w mh on my 4x2x2ft tank WITHOUT chiller/fan.... with lights off, water temp is 26-27deg, with mh on its 28-29deg, but with my aircon on, drops up to 26deg even if mh are on.... funny but lucky... think something to do w my gears/ballasts relocated outside the room....

there's a few around that area, u might just wanna take a walk and shop for the best prices...
