i am using a 2 x 150w as well, but upgrading to 3 x 250w for my 4ft x 2ft x 2ft tank... reason is 150w doesnt penetrate as deep as the 250w and i ended putting my sps nearest to the surface to rec more light.. think u better get 2 x 250w, especially that ur tank is 2.5ft deep

saw alot of it this afternoon at T95.... even got my self a couple of black suncorals in quite good sizes...

bro, photoperiod is the period of time when i switch my lights on.... i had alot of queries about photoperiod as well, whether it be better during day time or nite time... the answer i got was its not about the time of the day, its about giving ur ls enough lighting... also, about giving corals a break, acclimatize them properly... dont tell me if u go to US u would be sleeping all day and wake up at nite to work cheers bro!

i would talk about cheaper not in terms of price, electrical consumption or maintenance... for me cheaper means getting a quality product that will do the job well.... no point getting talking about a cheap product when it does not work efficiently, its a total waste of money.... but then again, it's just my opinion.....

IMO, depends... like as for me, i work during the day and the only time i can appreciate my tank is at night... so my photoperiod is from 7am to 9am, then 6pm til 1am..... rest of the day its off.... think its the number of hours that's much more critical than the time of the day.. correct me if im wrong...
