just inquired about the golden pearls from an online supplier.... asked about what is recommended for sps..... they adviced 5-50 micron and said shipping here would cost about $24 per 2lbs and delivery would be 3-5 days.... i have read of good reviews from reefcentral about golden pearls and really interested to try it out.... any ideas where to acquire it locally? also, need to hear advices from pros here as to what is the best for sps tank.... thanks!

5-10mins i wont dare... tried fresh water dip before but only for a minute, but twice daily....

happened to me the first time i moved it out... sticky webs n one accidentally sticked all over my skunk shrimp.... was quite worried w it as it was struggling helplessly, tried to remove it but the shrimp hid behind the rock crevices.... anyway, dont know what it did but the next day just saw it normally grazing ard n the webby gone...

i have a couple of tunzes.... they dont bother... but what i hate is they try to rescape my tank that's y i keep them in my refuge/sump n take them when needed

ben, i believe what nicky wants is lps from fellow reefers, as he has stated.... i dont know if u have misunderstood it or what but the least he needs is sarcasm.... nicky got a few, although have to limit what i have to let go as my colleague also reserved as well.....

im keeping 2 as well for my 4ft tank..... initially when i bought it, they were around 3inches long. now they've grown more than double their size!!! usually keep them on my sump nowadays, and put them on my main tank one every month for maintenance

as far as i know, de bulbs requires uv filter glass, so whether 10kk or 20kk, it is a must to have a uv filter glass not just a tempered glass... tempered glass doesnt necessarily meant it is uv filtering glass.... as for se bulbs, uv rays is minimal, thus most reefers employ the use without any uv filter glass.... but whether its de or se, with or without uv filtering glass, uv rays are still present, its just as to the amount that matters most.... correct me if im wrong....

try to choose those that is quite durable.... most lfs sell the very thin nylon bags, usual price is $6... learned my lesson once; bought it as it comes cheap... after a few weeks, it burst, spilled the carbon in my sump.....
