  1. normal or standard glass has a green tint while crystal glass is clearer due to its lower iron content. you can visibly compare the same glass through its section. normal glass is harder and cheaper while crystal glass is softer and expensive, i would suggest that for a tank where you will usually use a 10mm normal glass, go for a 12mm crystal glass. if you are very particular about true colors, go for a crystal (especially good with colorful corals) otherwise save your budget and stick to normal glass.

  8. go fishfarms, LCK, Iwarna, Ah beng... look "behind closed doors" and if anything interest you might as well ask them how much they can sell as second hand products. otherwise, you might wanna try the glass/frame shop at Sungei road (off Jalan Besar) I got my crystal glass tank there for a good bargain.
  9. not really all true..... my tank in 2008 WITHOUT water change for a year..... only reason I shut this down is I lost hope after Cedric showed me his gems in 2007, this is my setup again WITHOUT water change for about 8 months -- dismantled it as I shifted.... ....just started my new tank a month ago... perhaps come back and check on this thread a year later? kabayan, welcome to reefing
  10. you'd notice that in 7 minutes you got 25 hits on your thread..... WTG = wanted to give.... wanted to buy = WTB.... although a few lfs got good angels selling, upz for you bro.
  11. will drag you into diving again definitely... all I have to do is ask Victor and wife again and definitely you will be lured.... they can guarantee you the quality of dives we do.
  12. join me next year then.... it's a once a year destination for us... aside from Phil. waters.... I suppose u know who I am right? we met before.
  13. dive Palau. first time i've seen that as well in 18m @ Saeis Channel
  14. i was using ev 200 before (first generation before ev240) and it proved reliable on my sps reef tank. that was years before becketts became readily available in Sg. comparing deltec is like comparing lexus against kia -- pricewise, comfort and looks, but i believe no matter how fast your lexus is against my kia we will still reach the same destination right?
  15. ice probe is totally dependent on ambient temperature, if ambient is warm, there is no way it can cool down your tank. anyway, 2 sets of ice probe tentatively reserved. thanks, jon
  16. based on my experience, it is good for a tank w maximum size 2ft, totally dependent on ambient temperature to cool down a tank.... link to its website http://www.novatecproducts.com/iceprobe.htm
  17. selling the above items as I am no longer using them; purchased 3rd quarter last year and used in my 2ft tank for a couple of months. Good and working condition. Looking at $180/set, buy both for $340. jon
  18. as per topic, looking for a set preferably w/ lumenarc reflector. thanks jon
  19. probably referring to acropora hyacinthus? intense lighting, plenty of water flow
