  6. LoL...dun make it sound as if im very desperate like that! Haha, anyway, im sure your tank will look great....have fun!
  7. Erm, orange skimmate? Do you happen to have any orange coloured corals?
  8. Haha....i like that pic....nice shoT!
  9. Hrmz, might be due to several reasons, one of them being having a low calcium level, but its seems not in your case. Have you just started your tank? Give it some time and you'll be able to see it grow.
  10. Haha, its ok la....there are claims that garlic actually do improve resistance and i believe it helps to a certain extend....just that i was trying to find that claim on the bottle the other day and cldn't find it....hehe.
  11. Wow, clean sand.....reminds me of when i just started my tank. Hehe. Anyway, take it slow and im sure your tank will get nicer as time goes on. Reef on!
  12. Im going this coming Friday provided i can secure tickets!~
  13. Hrmz, i dun think clowns need any special attention or requirements as compared to other fishes. Just make sure your water quality is good and all parameters are within limits. One more thing thats makes them easy is they are greedy buggers....normally they'll start feeding within a day....
  14. Erm, try getting smaller packs? I normally keep my live brine in those small plastic fish tank with an air pump running....should be able to keep them alive for a while. Btw, die off will start v soon, so its best that you try to finish them within 2 days.
  15. Erm, feeding during lights off will not encourage algae growth? Anyway, all fish food and coral food smells funny to me. You should try smelling garlic guard...will faint!
  16. Erm, garlic guard does NOT give immunity to your fishes to diseases. It's reported to improve your fishes' immune system to make them more resistance though. Sorry about the lost of your BT, its a cute fish. Hope you'll have better luck next time! Btw, on my bottle of garlic guard, it is not mentioned anywhere that it give immunity to fishes against diseases, in fact it doesnt even mention that it'll improve resistance. Its suppose to be an appetite stimulant...
  17. Erm...$65? Thats considered pretty cheap for a skimmer if its for a 4FT. Good skimmers can easily cost up to a few hundred. To add pictures, choose the picture you want in the "File attachments" section and click the "choose file" option. Remember to resize your pic before posting though. A rough guide would be a max of 700 pixels for the longer side of the pic.
  18. Thats true....if the have outgrown their shells and cant find suitable ones, they might attack the turbo snails for the shell. Heard they'll die if they outgrow their shells and cant find any replacement. Is that true?
  19. Haha, cutez! How is your older clown taking to the newcomer?
  20. Thanks for passing by and leaving your comments Firestarz n cdckjn! Im just a beginner in this hobby, trying to learn as much as i can and hopefully one day progress to a bigger tank (hopefully with SPS!). Giving myself 2 years...and hopefully i'll be able to finance a 5 footer somewhere in 2008...when i ORD!
  21. Hrmz, how long have you had the clowns. In my experience, clowns are greedy buggers! You might try soaking with abit of garlic to enhance the flavour before feeding...might help. OH, have you tried live brine shrimps?
  22. Erm, i don't normally target feed my corals....i just pour the stated amount in front of my powerhead and let the flow bring the food around the tank. I don't think you need to feed as much as is stated on the bottle cause normally corals will be taking in leftover food and all the minute stuff from your water column. Not really necessary to feed them too much. I've heard some reefers mentioning that they dun even feed their corals at all. Oh, its better to off your protein skimmer for an hour or so after you pour in the marine snow.
  23. Easiest and most simple way, maybe sure you have enough flow over the whole area of your tank to prevent diatoms.
  24. I would like to know which LFS u visited too! Btw, agree with wil that as a permanent solution to your problem, you should just let your tank cycle and give it time. Oh, for a small tank, even after it is cycled, it not advisable to purchase and dump alot of fishes into it at one time. It might overload the system. Happy reefing!
