  1. Erm, your KH level is abit on the low side, try buff it to around 9 - 11dkh.... Oh, did i mention before? I LOVE the colour of your tank!!
  2. Hrmz, well...not really sure why your PH will shoot up that much....did you read the instructions on the back and follow the recommanded dosage? I use the same buffer as you....what i do is measure my KH and then dose accordingly to how much i want to increase KH level. Oh, try using a measuring spoon for more accurate dosing. Can use those meant for cooking, those small plastic ones in a bunch in many different sizes... Meanwhile, i guess you can do water changes over a few days and see if it'll help. Oh, will recommand you to get a PH monitor....a very nice and convenient piece of equipment to have..
  3. hrmz, where is this old man shop you are referring to?
  4. Hrmz, i don't see why you cant succeed with an AT in a FOWLR tank....just make sure you have good water parameters.... Its a beautiful fish, ones of the 1st fishes i'll get when and IF i ever upgrade....
  5. Great looking rockscape!~ I love the way your tanks looks....
  6. you'll see a big green dustbin outside the gate on the right hand side...
  7. hrmz, did you add any kind of additives or ph buffer/up?
  8. Its good to wear gloves to protect your hands, but have to be careful not to use gloves coated with powder or anything, might "pollute" your water and for small tanks might even poison your LS.
  9. oh, got time take a pic of the T5s k? Can use as reference if i wanna upgrade...
  10. Haha, personally i cant stand the heat of MH lights, but i love the shimmering effect...makes a reef tank looks much more natural... Have to agree with you that it'll be a torture for those totally uninterested in the hobby, but then most ppl will fall in love with it once you've have it properly setup. Its a great conversation piece.
  11. Hrmz, i think 28 - 29 degrees will still be alright for most hardy corals.... LoL...i've had the chiller for 2 months and i've still not got used to the noise..no matter how minimal it is. Luckily its in my living rm....
  12. I've always loved the way a NC looks esp with the curvy stand...makes a great piece of deco in the house. Anyway, nice looking tank!~
  13. LOl....thanks....i think the blue tink in the QT after i added in the medication gave it a "cool" blue look... Thanks for passing by...
  14. Hrmz, what happened to your alvapora? Cant see them anymore..... Was pretty tempted to get a clamp too, but worried my lights not good enough. What kind of lighting are you using?
  15. Saw some Algae Bleenies @ AM yesterday....
  16. The hot season is coming i think, will only end after the middle of the year. Where is your tank located? Try open the room windows for better air circulation into the room, might help abit...
  17. 27-28 degrees is ok for LS and most corals...just make sure it doesn go up beyond that by much and everything shld be ok. I keep mine ard 27 to 28 degrees too, everything is fine....dun worry!~
  18. Post up some pictures when the polyps are extended....maybe there are just fully retracted so it appears botak...
  19. Hi Pinkcie!~ How much did you spend for the super suns? Nice
  20. Erm, Jef....you do not actually have to maintain your tank temperature at 25 degrees....as long as it doesn't exceed 28, its ok....
  21. Yup...the sun from RB....like that also can recognise? Haha.
