  1. HeyhEY! Nice tank and nice deco....
  2. Hrmz, try not to use too much garlic for the 1st few times....the fishes are proberbly just aren't used to the new taste. Give them some time and they'll go after the food like before.
  3. LoL.... Chercm, try take abit of advice sometimes...no point asking and you do not follow them right? I mean its your own right...but....u get what i mean? Anyway, let your poor tank settle down before adding anymore LS yah? Cheers, reef on!
  4. It proberbly hasn't break in yet....but might be your water is too clean too....
  5. 2 squids spotted at ah bengs, queen angels, blood shrimps and all the usual stuff. Nothing much at Irawna at the moment, Tonga shipment tonight!
  6. Erm, my blue tang had a 12G tank for its 1st home....i guess if you get a very small specimen and you intend to upgrade your tank in the future, i think you can give it a try. Tangs do need big spaces to swim around though.
  7. I have a sea cuke and a sand shifter for my 3ft. The sea cuke is pretty hardworking....never see the sand shifter star aroudn much though.
  8. The old man's LFs i think is actually a farm, located at one of the seletar west farmways.
  9. LoL.....hrmz, i really curious which shop adviced you to change all your LRs. Like fellow reefers adviced, let your water stable down 1st. Once you get the other parameters correct, coralline will spread. My tank is in its 6 mth, there are still white patches on the rocks...be patient.
  10. Hrmz, seriously....if the tang is super stressed and not feeding well, its not gonna survive. Keep a close watch.....gd luck. Juv blue tangs are hard to keep alive as it is, doesn't need a giant tang to chase it around...
  11. Erm, whent he chiller kicks in or out, there will be a very distinguishable click sound and you'll find warm air at the back of the chiller exhaust. Even the kick in/out of my CL450 is pretty obvious. Sounds abit like a mini compressor running. Abit like the sound of aircon compressors.

  13. Put both of them together and you'll know....how big is the blue tang?
  14. How big is your blue tang and if its getting chased everywhere with no place for it to hide, it'll prob be very stressed. And stressed fishes develope sickness easily. Get the blue tang out into a holding betta cage, let them get used to each other abit. Might work, might not. Another way is to do some rearrangement of scaping...might reduce the aggression a little. But in your small tank prob won't work. Monitor the blue and if its obviously stressed, do it a favour and remove it. Gd luck.
  15. Nice fish~! My brazillian gramma leaves my 2 spot alones....cant be bothered i guess
  16. Hrmz, i have a few sallylightfoot to keep my algae in control. Have a couple of stray crabs in my tank which i never managed to get out. Have a pistol shrimp within the LRs somewhere. I guess its pretty impossibly to get everything out unless you "nuke" your Lrs before using them. When you buy corals you might get hitchhikers too, so spend some time checking new aquires for unwanted pests. Not really sure which fish will eat crabs. Triggers might but then they'll prob get to your shrimps too. And if your crab is small, i doubt any fish will be agile/small enough to go after it in a maze of LRs. Maybe you could try and catch them when they come out to feed at night w/o the lights on. Lure it with food or something in a trap. Gd luck!
  17. Yupyup, trail and error is good. Monitor how your skimmer performs at different settings and sooner or later you'll know what the optimal setting for your piece of equipment is.
  18. Hrmz, i thought PUB takes the reading every alternate month? My electrical bill for Feb is around $96. Aircon for 1 room on around 12 hrs a day. I think its your lighting thats taking up alot of power. Using a CL450 for my 3.3FT.
  19. Hrmz, some fishes will try and take a bite out of almost everything new. I do not think the six line will make a meal out of your sea fan. Proberbly just curious. Btw, its a nice specimen, pretty fat. But heard that it'll get pretty aggressive when they are used to their surroundings. Your tank is getting nicer by the day! good work!
  20. LOl....even grass might not be safe nowadays.
  21. Usually when im dosing, i dose the clear liquid into the tank and add more water to the dosing container to dissolve the remaining stuff. Those which remain undissolved will be discarded, you wouldn't want your LS/inverts to make a meal out of the small undissolved minerals.
  22. Hrmz, sometimes i think people are overly paranoid of consuming this food and that. In my own opinion, whatever you eat doesn't really matter as long as its kept in moderate amounts. If people gets so paranoid, sooner or later might as well dun eat anything. Just my own thoughts...
  23. According to what i know, it doesn't really matter where you place your polyps. They are quite adaptable. Just keep in mind that they do not require very strong flow or lighting.
  24. Erm, why would you want to keep your tank temp between 23 to 24? Most if not all corals and definately LS do not require that kind of temperature to survive or do well. Guess around 26 would be good enough.
