  1. Erm, your dottyback might be stressing your BT out. Any signs of aggressiveness?
  2. Its not necessary to aerate your water with an air pump, a powerhead is sufficient. What salt are you using by the way?
  3. Haha, erm....im sure noone will expect their rocks to actually move. Oh, see your avatar will see till eyes blur.....
  4. Bought your new tank yet? Haha, pm me the detals k?
  5. TadaA...never managed to find the red fromia. Fromia Elegance, Blue Linka and paired purple legged boxers acclimatising....
  6. Erm, your sunburst looks dangerous, i'll sacrifice and adopt it....
  7. Marine Life in Heong Leong Gardens....
  8. Hrmz, LRs are not actually alive. Its the living organisms on it that makes them "live". Rocks that are left dried for a week will proberbly be dead as in most living organisms would be dead. For me i prefer getting LRs from the shops that are full of coralline. Agreed that coralline will grow if water parameters are good but if i can get a good start by getting coralline encrusted rocks, why not? I cycled my tank with uncured LRs and the only grouge i have are the worms that come with it and the die offs that dirty my sandbed. Oh, looks out in the pasar malam thread, there are lots of reefers selling rocks, most proberbly cured and some with quite abit of coralline algae.
  9. Haha, okok.....might pass by ML this friday or saturday, will let you know...
  10. Hrmz, rdg the amount of sand, maybe you can just ask the LFS to estimate for you. Im keeping my 3.3FT running on an external cannister too....till now most of the corals are still good. A sump or an overflow is good to have but definately not essential to keeping a nice tank. If you want to keep corals, suggest you to find a way to keep your temperature around 27 to 28 degrees.
  11. Wah, go where nv jio?! Haha, i have to work on Sat....
  12. Dun worry about the stars....beleve me they are hardy. Its only been a week and if the poylps arent covered by algae, they'll open when the conditions are right.
  13. Erm, it'll proberbly help abit but doubt natural sunlight can ever match the intensity of Mh or even a few tubes of T5s. Your clam will prob not do very well if you just depend on sunlight. Just my inexperienced opinion.
  14. Hrmz, will have to try and get my hands on the frozen kind, hate the way the can type floats around....
  15. Hrmz, your tank is in an aircon room? keep your temp monitored....29 is already very close to the upper limit of what corals can take.
  16. Hrmz, i highly doubt so.....a tank that size would proberbly need something more powerful...
  17. Hrmz, some reefers caution against feeding their LS non marine food such as market vegetables. No idea what it would do to the tang in the long run but if its just a supplement to their normal food source, personally i don't see any harm in doing it. I supplement my tangs' diet with red bamboo algae.....
  18. Hrmz, have not seen any nice rics around nowadays....any idea where we can find them?
  19. Hrmz, actually has anyone really caculated how much it takes to run a chiller monthly on the presumption it runs 24hrs a day? Im bad at electrical stuff....
  20. Oh, can pm me how much you got the sea star in your avatar for pls?
  21. Hrmz, they are pretty easy in my opinion....even after 2 months of not target feeding, they are still blooming and growing new heads....just get your basic water parameters right and they'll be alright.
