  1. Haha, sure you can....actually the picture i posted yesterday is abot a full tank shot already. But just for you!~ Still awaiting Mh to power up....btw, my wall is not pink!
  2. I also want! LoL.....anyway, nice zoos....where did you get them from?
  3. I've been using a product to raise my Ph, but would like to find the root cause of low Ph, any idea what might help? Im running sumpless and using a cannister.
  4. Hrmz, accordingly to some online dictionary sites, sessile = Permanently attached or fixed; not free-moving: a sessile barnacle. I don't know what will be considered sessile in reef tanks, tubeworms might fall into that category. Frogspawns and bubbles to the coral family and not inverts?
  5. Hrmz, mine fluactuates between 7.8 to 8.1. I think my low Ph has something to do with insufficient flow in my tank. Will adding another powerhead help?
  6. Hrmz, my Ph never goes beyond 8.2 also. I think improving your flow would help abit? Im not really sure too.
  7. You do not need to target your sand shifter stars, they are scavangers and will seave through your sandbed looking for food...
  8. My 2nd try at a clove coral....this time it doing quite well.
  9. My GBTA decided to shift itself into the rocks with part of it showing only...ZzzZzZ
  10. After the water change, still quite alot of stuff floating around, will prob change another 10% tomorrow...but everything seems happier after the change....
  11. Hrmz, seriously, i don't really know much abotu salts. Maybe you can do a search on the forum, think some time ago there was a thread comparing all the salts. I was using ME all along, but switched to 1 bag of "forgot what brand" salt which costs aroung $28 per bag instaed of the close to $40 a bag of ME salt costs. I don't do any extra parameter tests apart from the basics so i cant really comment on what the differences are too. As for water changes i chaneg approx 20L (8%) a week....
  12. Hrmz, dunno if its just only temperature that caused your hammer to melt but many reefers recommand a temperature of not more than 28 degrees for LPS. But maybe you got yourself an unhealthy specimen? Was it opening big in the LFS when you first saw it?
  13. Haha, i guess ultimately it still comes down to the buyer, if he doesn't like what he sees, he can cancel the trade. Anyway, peace everyone!~
  14. Wah.... Now im accused of being bad! Haha, okok....think we better stop posting here, leave the seller to concentrate on his sales.....upz for you again!~
  15. Wah, didn't log on for these few days and missed the beginning of yet another interesting episode. Haha. Well, sure teaches us to have the facts correct first before accusing anyone before it backfires on us. I live in SK too, in fact quite near to the blocks posted, am i supposed to be suspected too? Anyway, upz for your sale!
  16. Haha, im still around lah! Been working the night shift this week so no time to post anything, actually nothing new to post too..... Oh, time to change water.....
  17. i LOVE the colouration of your clam....got it from Sg?
  18. Hrmz, upgrading works killed your whole tank? They cut off the electrical supply to your whole block u mean? Colin, yours belong to the pearl bubble family, judging the size from your picture, its already somewhere there, nothing to worry about.
  19. Erm, what are "blown rocks" by the way? If you are just doing some minor rescaping, its possible to leave your livestock in your tank. But judging from your post, you'll be replacing both your san and rocks and replacing them. This will definately cause an ammonia/nitrate increase depeding on how good your source is. For me i think the safest way would be to relocate all your fishes to a holding tank, rescape your main tank, measure the parameters and make sure all the parameters are ok before moving your LS back.
  20. Haha, moonlight is not a must thing to have, it just creates a soft moonlight look which some reefers like. As for the not stressing the fishes by sudden brightness, maybe you can on your lights step by step, atanic first followed by the others.
  21. Please add in any LRs you will need to use for you tank during the cycling phase. If you add them after your ANN cycle is completed, it'll restart another cycle again due to the die-offs from the rock.
  22. Nope...its no $$ to go...haha. Always end up spending if i go, so best way to stop myself is don't go!~
