  1. anyone going for tonight's Sundown Marathon!? ^^
  2. Maybe you could try the DELTEC MCE600 too, price is higher but have seen great reviews about the skimmer.
  3. Erm, just a kind word of advice. Try and hold your urge to stock up so quickly. I didn't manage to control myself and was spending alot just to replenish dead LS and corals in the beginning. Are you still operating without a chiller? Your clam and other corals will not trive in high temperatures. Care to share what lights you are using?
  4. Erm, a tank should always sit fully on a flat surface. THe way your tank sits partially on the cabinet looks pretty dangerous. Uneven pressure on the tank bottom might cause it to fail earlier than expected. Normally we'll place a styrofoam board or foam base between the surface of the tank bottom and the cabinet to smooth out any uneven surface. Prevention is better than cure.....good luck and have fun in the hobby.
  5. Hi there! Accordingly to my limited knowledge......i read somewhere before that different types of clownfishes will accept different types of anemones....not all anemones are suitable for the type of clownfish you have. Just be care of where your anemone moves and make sure they stay well away from any powerheads.... My true percs used to stay around my anchor corals.
  6. Hrmz, i think its better to get to the root of the problem. Do a search and you find some of the root causes of cyano. Leaving the lights off might cure the problem but its proberbly only be temporary. Good luck~
  7. Haha, cool. Passed by AM's SpS tank some time back and was quite amazed of all the little little tangs they have in there. Makes me want to start all over again.
  8. Heyhey, Nice looking tank....got new plans for new fishes?
  9. Its normal for blue tangs to hide within your rockworks or even lodge themselves within the crevices when they fell threatened. From what i know, just leave them alone and they'll be fine....IF they are feeding that is.....
  10. Erm, i think pratas and cynas do not really tolerate high flow very well. not really sure though.
  11. No worries, the marine section of that particular shop has CLOSED down...
  12. Try live brine shrimps...they are pretty irresistable.
  13. LoL....yeah, they are super cute. HAha, i love hammies!!! ErHem, not refering to you btw, LoL. BTW, your new concept for your tank is looking great!
