  2. bro.. care to share your tank setup? filtration methods? lights? the best advise i can give is "Patience is key!"
  3. I've used canister before and i would not recommend it as it is a nitrate factory.. unless you are able to deligently clean it every week... you can try using an external overflow box to link it to a sump...
  4. we can be your fuel bro!! if by december no swimmers we shall donate desi to you to swim for an hour... hahaha
  5. great stuff dude.. am amazed as well as amused as too how long this has been dragging on for you.. please do not let this pull down your passion for reefing! Reef on! Keep the updates coming and looking forward to see you stocking up!
  6. LOL.. Bro Resser.. If you got questions just ask here lah..
  7. Its up to you really.. LOL.. if you think it suits you better you should go ahead with it.. the bros here are coming from the point of view of easier maintainence and overall experience.. still one man food is another man poison! Think there isnt much RSM owners here in SG.. i believe the RSM do come with a skimmer yeah? Believe the skimmer might be good enough.. check out nano-reef forum.. they have pretty good information you can read up about nano reefing.. Good Luck! http://www.nano-reef.com/forums/
  8. Is the light external or within the FR?
  9. maintainence via canister is definitely much much more troublesome as compared to sump.. a sump allows you to put filter media such as filter socks and you can have ample of space (subjected to planning of sump) to place your equiptments like skimmer, pumps, etc.. unless you really screw up your sump, it will never be a nitrate factory as compared to a canister.. IMHO.. Sump for the win!
  10. Lol.. no lah bro.. i disappear for 1 year... still gotta play catch up!
