Deltec HOB skimmers are getting very good reviews!

eh... depends on the efficiency of the small skimmers.. there are some who run 2 skimmers for their tank but IMHO 1 good suitable skimmer should be enough... (anyway becareful of jacky.. he wanted to use instead of )

i use cable tie.. you may like to consider that option..

you see my logic first... reefers do dip in FW to get rid of pest.. reefers also dip in RX to get rid of pest.. so i combine both and dip lor... lol..

SUMP???? bro.. you are suppose to take the corals out and dip them in a SEPERATE pail of tank water plus coralRX.. DUN add RX straight to the tank!! Lol.. sorry for some caps.. just scared you add the RX straight to ur tank..

get a better skimmer.. seriously.. IMHO is that its always better to over skim then under.. =]

best to dip them every 3-5 days? so that even if there are eggs and they hatch, they will still be NUKED!

oh dear.. these nudis are bad.. get rid of them ASAP!! one thing to note is that these pesky fellow will take after the colouration of the zoas they are on (or have eaten) so it may be a little difficult to spot them... I highly recommend you to take out all your zoas to FW dip them or use coral RX.. one reefer once told me "if you can see them on your tank wall, your tank is infested.. for every 1 that you see there's 10 more hidden, not considering the eggs!!" Do you stay near the east? i can pass you some coralRX first..

Wow! All the bros here have already gave you very detailed information.. Yes it would be tough to do saltmix for a tank your size... some people will get the huge distilled water (meant for office dispenser usage) for their salt mix.. the rest would rather go for NSW... the choice is yours... IMHO, if you can afford the back breaking experience.. i would vote for salt mix.. (personal preference) Patience is key to starting up a reef tank... also a word of advise is to get proper and suitable equipments first so you wun have the need to "upgrade" them the next time.. cycling with LR is ok.. just that most of the time the organisim in the LR may die off thus the "LIVE" part will no longer apply.. overtime adding corals would add these organism back again... Lol.. sadly... another 4-6 weeks.. great test of your patience.. but do note that if you dun finish cycling and add any fishes and if they eventually die, it will just kick start the cycle all over again.. aka 4 - 6 more weeks!

chill man.. if you chiong too fast your tank will fill up fast too and you will not have space for corals next time.. lol.. take this time to do more research on what corals and fishes you would want to and more importantly CAN keep.. this way you will not waste $$ or potentially kill any LS too... HTH!

i would leave it on.. just in case theres anything to skim.. lol.. there should not be any right or wrong.. just personal preference i would say..

well to begin with there may not be any "food source" for this organisms... dosing bacteria would help but not much too.. be patient bro! you have a long way ahead to chiong LFS... hahaha..
