  1. Finally at my final stage of decom. GO LR: 3 Big pcs, 1 L-Shaped & 1 small pc Think 2 out of the 3 big pcs have some sps encrusted on them. L-shaped pc has some zoas attached. Pls make your offers in the thread. Sorry for the blur pics, if needed will try to take clearer pics. Also, I've got 2 big patches of GSP. Frags available too. $5-$10 depending on the size.
  2. He wanted to jump into the tank when I had it filled with freshwater. Almost let him do it but I wasn't sure how to get him out and I didn't want him dripping all over the cabinet.
  3. Hopefully, after I put in most of the corals from the old tank I don't have to climb ladder so often. Had to borrow a proper ladder from my parents' place to put in the rocks. Other times, when ladder is returned, only have a small 4-step ladder to use. As for the durso, problem solved. Thanks to Bro Gouldian. My eldest offer to go in with scuba mask to place corals if I can't reach with my tongs.
  4. Oh yes! Good stuff. Been using them for a while now.
  5. only when the kids are asleep then got time to mess with tank stuff mah. Besides, baby usually gets up at about 3am for milk....zzzzz Playing with the rocks was fun. Hopefully, I won't have too much trouble sticking the frags on my current scape. Will have open hse, when I finish cycling and move all the other corals from old tank over. Wonder when it will happen though......
  6. Tell me about it!! The Pressure is on for me to decom my old tank.
  7. Thanks Belle! Was suppose to drill the fake rock to make it easier to slot in sps frags but too lazy and can't wait to put them all in the tank and start cycling. keke Thanks Sherman!!
  8. Need to clear the table, so put all the rocks in the tank.
  9. There's a whistling sound coming from the durso. Should I make the hole on the end cap larger?
  10. Was thinking of doing that. Would it choke easily? Me sometimes not always on the ball for checking stuff like that. Too many distractions.
  11. Part of the noise is from the overflow compartment, done the durso liao, may have to raise it higher though. Also, I think the overflow pipe size is a bit too big, 2 x 30mm pipes, running a 4500L/hr pump. Thinking of closing one.... The other source of the noise is from the water flowing into the return section of the sump. Think may have to add something to reducing the water crashing sound....
  12. Fresh water, testing my pipe work. Now trying to reduce the water noise.
  13. Just realised that I will have some difficulty adding sand to cover the base of the rocks when I put them in the tank.
  14. Finally expoxy all the rocks liao. Front view:
  15. put the rocks together...looks kinda cramp. Will need to see how they look in the tank, maybe not put them in a straight row might be better....
  16. Thanks! Hope I can keep it that way.
  17. The initial idea to have the tank sit at this height is, firstly, hubby feels is better to have the tank at eye-level. Secondly, it is to prevent myself from constantly sticking my hands in to mess with the corals. Thanks for the reassurance. Just tried to pick up the rocks. The 3rd piece is the heaviest, surprisingly. Are u getting trigger happy with the cutter??
  18. Think his level is way beyond me. I wasn't trying to scape like his tank, just so happen the rocks I have allow me to shape them in such a way that I have a larger surface at the top for SPS, and I don't want to have too many rocks at the lower level. Also, I like the bonsai scape type of look. keke Also, with the 2.5 ft height combine with my high cabinet, I don't want to do the rock scaping within the tank. Don't think my back can take the strain. hahaha!! Therefore, do up 3 main pieces and just plonk them in, and hope they look ok together.
  19. Tank sit at a height of about 1.1m. That's about 3.6ft?
  20. Yes. Think the tank and the cabinet might be a tad big for the living room. But, what the heck, it's done. Can't do much about that now. keke I'll definately need a ladder to access the tank.
  21. So It doesn't look so big and bulky? Anyway, the other cabinets near it is also white.
  22. Finally, one step closer to getting my tank.... Hope to get the tank next week, then the cabinet can be assembled.
