Read in reefcentral that the zoas should be able to take the light if you let them get used to it gradually. ie, leave the zoas on the sand bed first and move them up slowly.
But I'm only using 150w. The zoas on the top of the rockscape are doing great.
2ft height(or less) is my preference, cos I'd like to be able to place the corals without having to use tongs. Unless u have very long arms, then 2.5ft height.
Guess it also depends on what u intend to keep, fish only, or corals.
Hand itchy bought a Sohal a couple of weeks back. Haven't seen it eating with the other fishes, but it's been pecking on the rocks and sandbed. Still looking ok for now....
Thanks for the offers. But they complain that I spend too much time on the tanks liao. So must spend time with them b4 I cart them to school and childcare.

Now that the frag stations have space, will start fragging when have time again.
