It's currently day 14 cycling the tank.... Either there's something wrong with all the test kit or the LR's are that heavily inoculated with denitrifying bacteria that the cycling process is almost complete??.... Nonetheless, I'm still going to do a 20% water change and will cycle another 2-3 weeks The first picture was NO2 test done the day before yesterday and the second was a repeat today

I'm having pretty severe hair algae bloom.... Phosphate at 0.66ppm. Just ran 500ml of Rowaphos for 4 days... If it doesn't go down the next 2 days, would probably need to replace the Rowaphos

Anyone tried dosing these?? I've dosed it for 2 days now. Turned my skimmer off for 5 hours after dosing.

It's a pleasure... only hope it helps....

Nope, the FR's are fed from the feeder pump to the skimmer. Using a Reef Octopus HY 5000 rated at 5000L/hr to 'T' off to feed 3 FR's

Well, the spacer were of the right thickness. I tried using a thinner spacer, but the vibration and noise it produce were just wrong. I guess it takes a while to stabilize. The thick spacers were rated to up to 13mm.... and the medium spacer thickness starts fro 16mm onwards... I wonder what's in between....

I must say, I love the orpheks.... Just fired one up and I'm in love... I must also say that the controllers are not that easy to use though..... but the color and intensity is out of this world!! Love the built too!

Can anyone using MP60wES explain to me why my MP60 detaches and the dry side actually falls off after a couple of hours?? It happened to me twice... Thank goodness, it's still working... I had to anchor the cables to the return piping just to make sure it doesn't fall off even if it detaches.

In goes the LR and salt..... 140kgs of LR in total.... designed into 2 islets.... based on one of my favourite dive site in Thailand 'Hin Daeng-Hin Muang' which means Big Rock, Little Rock. It's a cleaning station in d middle of the ocean marked only by a buoy. During low tide, you'll be able to see wave ripples over the surface of one of the rock.... love it!

Thanks!... Well, I learnt a lot over the years from this site among others.... It's nice to share. Besides, we're just a causeway apart! I'm using a mix of Taiwan made MEFCO and Japan made TGC valves. The Japanese made valves very much more expensive. Thus, I use it on the higher pressured pipe flows.

After 3 days of uneventful water test, water drained and begin the slow process of filling the tank up with RO/DI. Eventhough it was rated at 400G/D.....wasn't even close..... It took me a total of 40 hours to fill up both DT and Sump!!! Maybe I need a booster pump.

It took me a good 6 hours to fill the display tank and sump with unfiltered tap water! N' that's how 10,000-12,000L/hr looks like in the overflow!! Tank maker made a minor mistake of cutting of the extra grooved part of the pipe connector. I'm unable to do the Durso Pipes! It sounded like a waterfall in the living room.
