  1. Ya, i think it leads to Ikea, from the Y junction you turn left (tampines indust ave 5 i think) instead of turning right towards the stretch of temples. It is much nearer.
  2. Bro John, You are quite innovative. l can see huge flow and good algae growth. What screen are you using and are there holes on it? it looks flexible. Btw, if you are using Tetra NO3 testkit, then your actual NO3 is near zero liao after dividing by 4. Envy envy...
  3. poor starfish... linka somemore. you are so cruel, bro.
  4. Anyone just been to Sealife? Updates there? Thinking of dropping by today.
  5. Mine too. Bought 2 happily but in the end, both hide among the liverock and the only time i see them is during feeding. Sian...bros thinking of buying fire shrimp may can want to reconsider unless you dun have much liverock for them to hide...
  6. Eh bro, thought you said tt u'll not buy harlequin cos you agreed it's cruel to see them eat starfish alive slowly? Or maybe it's another reefer? Anyway, very nice MI. If it's eating pellet greedily, then you stand high chance. Try Life Spectrum pellets.
  7. Possible as there are silicates that help in diatom growth too.
  8. If can save $1 a day then not bad already cos that's $30 a mth and $360 a year in savings liao. Further, you are playing a part to save the environment too!
  9. Reborn is further up from the map (Nam Choon). It's nearer to the cross junction along Serangoon Rd. Can talk bus 145 opposite ICA (this bus will also go to SeaLife after Reborn). A shorter way to Reborn would be from Boon Keng MRT and walk up along Serangoon Rd towards Lavender St.
  10. u guys noticed singapore now is cooler? i heard that we are moving away from the equator
  11. Bro Ambystoma82, you are like our unofficial LFS photographer, always feed us with those nice pics. Really thanks for your great effort and making this thread more lively and 'juicy'.
  12. LOL...some people are just like that. $350 for a 5 footer w 4 ft sump and chenggai wood cabinet very cheap liao lor. Upz for you.
  13. Bro Angellove, Really beautiful regal and goldflake angels you have. Very swee. And like Bro LemonLemon, l love copperband too, too bad they don't eat prepared dried food. What do you feed it with?
  14. maybe i'm wrong but i got the feeling that replica rocks will not be able to contain the type of beneficial bacteria that helps consume NO3 as they thrive deep within liverocks.
  15. l also met that 2 chi guys just 3 weeks ago and they stopped me while l was abt to cross a small road in serangoon nth. Same thing, they want to clear a set of new branded speakers urgently and asked me to give them some money to buy beer. Didn't take the bait cos they looked damned dubious to me and things too good to be true.
  16. Was there yesterday at SL. Quite a few sohal (S/M), golden butterflies, asfur, mata tang, yellow belly regal (M/L), african angels (S/M/L). The fishes there are well taken care off and most are eating pellets.
  17. l guess would be dead/cleared by now cos many of their fishes (esp during new shipment and the smaller ones like dwarf angels, wrasse, gobies, dottyback, shrimps) are kept in small containers for quick sale and easy take out by reefers. If no one buys the poor fish in the next few days, with no access to food, the fishes would prob...but those fishes that can be housed together would likely be in the tanks.
  18. Thanks for the link, bro. Besides the scaping info, there are many other useful information in that webblog too...e.g. whether light alone is sufficient for photosynthetic corals...which is no as mentioned in that his blog and explaining why, his experience in various nitrate controls methods...
  19. Here is another one...talking about why divide by 4.4 http://www.sgreefclub.com/forum/index.php?...mp;hl=Tetra+NO3
  20. Found the thread. It's here: They discussed about dividing it by 4.4 or your testkit could have expired liao. http://www.sgreefclub.com/forum/index.php?...mp;hl=Tetra+NO3
  21. Try to read the instruction manual again. Not likely to have such a high NO3. l remembered some years ago reading a thread discussion here on Tetra NO3 test kit for NO3. Something about dividing the final reading by 4...dunno why also. If it's true, yr NO3 could be about 25mg. You could check it out the manual to confirm.
  22. Thanks. As l'm only using Ehiem 1262 with abt 3,000 l/h water return, should l just channel all the return water to the screen via the horizontal pipe, and totally cut off the vertical pipe where water run into the sump?
  23. A very colorful tank with very nice corals. Envy envy...
