rays are not recommanded for our normal tank. as they need a big area of sandbed. in rc, there is one guy who delicated a 19x5x2.5/3 tank just for the ray. althought its a reef tank, but he had made his effort to have a huge area of sandbed just for that guy. doubt you have such a big tank. and the sandbed must be smooth sand if not the ray will injure his belly which can lead to infection and death.

if you are going to have corals on the sand, i guess you better skip them, they are known to air bomb your sand lying corals with sand in their mouth. its their favourite pass time. but they are damn cute.

try calling marine life henry. he does bring them in quite often

well, how am you going to tell which one is male which one is female? doubt that they will behave differently when its in the lfs holding tank.

if you can get 1 male 1 female, that would be great, however if 2 males, then hell will break out. from what i know, its not really possible to differciate their sexes. and from what i read, the male will lead the female to food and if you can get a pair and the male is feeding, most likely both will start to feed. make me giam into buying mi again

MI are not schooling fishes, they are known to be swim in pair in the ocean. they lived as a pair not as a group.
