Hi, can anybody tell me is nitrate 20ppm normal ? I was having my tank for almost 4 months, i kept LPS, Polys and total of 5 small fishes, I own a 24g nano cube from JBJ. A month ago, when i test the nitrate level, it was 10ppm, last night i did a test again, it goes to 20ppm. Can anybody enlighten me what is happening I do a 5% - 10% water change every week, feed my fish once every two days. I also got Seachem product to remove chorline and choramine and deoxify nitrate on tap water My IOS media contain sponge, bioball, ceramic ring and carbon.

Thanks, i may get it and try not to overdose it and see the result.

Nicholas.. since you don't dose regularly, but you do sometimes, do you see improvement on your corals ?

Thanks nicholas, I stick to water change weekly and so far... everythings were fine as of today. I do understand that salt mix have trace elements like calcium, strontium etc. but it doesn't have iodine in it, heard that iodine do make corals colors nicer, that why i thought of putting iodine as a supplement, guess after hearing your advise, i might not get iodine anymore.

Problem with Lights on my 24G NanoCube
Marinesavy replied to juscool's topic in Members Tank & Specs
You can call the agent directly, no point call the shop because they are not going to entertain you and will just tell you that they will call the agent to contact you. I have spoken to two agents before regard to the jbjnanocube, they are quite friendly and willing to help, response was fast too. As long as you keep the receipt, no problem. FYI, it doesn't come with warranty card, receipt is the warranty... if you lost your receipt, bad luck. It come with 6 months warranty. I have mine for almost 4 months, no problem.. The feedback for jbjnano doesn't have problem in the lighting, but do have crack problem, that only experience in US because of drastic change of weather, Singapore is ok. -
Can anybody enlighten me the impact of overdose iodine ? Currently i am running a 24g nano cube, I have been keeping corals for months and all seem fine. I am thinking of getting seachem iodine to add as a supplement for my corals. I do water change 5 - 10% weekly and trace elements shouldn't be a issue. Iodine is my concern, which brand and underdose is way better than overdose right ?

does marine salt contain iodine ?

I am looking for Marine Iodine. Anyone letting go, kindly PM me with prices, brand and ml left. Thanks

Marinesavy replied to Marinesavy's topic in FOWLR (Fish-only with Live-rock)
hopfully, i pray for it... i hate to see fishes died even it was a $1 damsel fish. I wish everything go well. Now i am even praying harder for the orangespot flyfish. I like this fish when i saw in Parsir Ris yeserday. I didn't know the bio of this fish. I like it and so was my wife.. before buying i confirmed with the shop owner that it eat brimp shrimp. ... regret buying not because i don't like the fish, is that it might lose its life because of me -
