juscool, I bought from one reefer in the forum, cost me $70 for Cl280. Thermostat spoiled, so not choice, use timer to control the chiller.. constantly maintaining the temp 26 to 27 degree. don't have to cut anythings from the hood, get some soft and good piping to squeeze in, the flow will be slightly slower.. but ok... can cool down 1 degree lower in 15mins.

Hi all, Here is my update :- http://www.sgreefclub.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=45227

Agree that this is a very nice stand, at first.. wanted to get the S stand since Singapore Agent doesn't carry the cabinet stand.. luckily.. when i went to HK, I saw this stand and l like it very much, moreover.. only cost me less than S$50, but need to assemble yourself. Just prefer very simple setup, do not want to complicate things and that the reasons for a jbj nano cube, bottom line.. water change every week to keep my tank healthy. In HK, the whole street selling fishes, corals, additives, equipments etc, price can get lower since very competitive. Corallife salts cheap too, about S$6 cheaper than petmart, too bad... have too much things to carry back to Singapore. Anyway. i visit HK very frequent because my wife was from HK. The brand of salt also many and some even much cheaper too, i recalled seeing a brand of salt, 6 kg, about S$15. I am maintaining 26-27 degree with CL280 Chiller. Depend on the type of chiller you buy, but personally... for such a small 24 gallons (approx 90 litres) nano cube, CL280 is much afforable price and low noise too.

Currently my nitrate level is 30-40ppm. I am running a 24gallon(ard 90 litres) jbj nanocube with a IOS ( 3 compartment) behind. My Aim is to reduce my nitrate level. I have thrown away the bio-balls, ceramic rings and carbon that come with it. The setup :- FIRST COMPARTMENT SECOND COMPARTMENT THIRD COMPARTMENT First Compartment - Two big Sponge Second Compartment - pump connected to cl280 chiller (run 15mins every 2 hours) - 150g "red biohome" and 20g of "Seachem Purigen" according to dosage instructions - A layer of sponge underneath Thrid Compartment - maxijet 1000 connected to dozzle running 24 hours to circulate the tank. Can you enlighten me whether this is the appropriate setup ? Can i put in another 150g of biohome and another 20g of purigen in first compartment to achieve better result removing nitrate ? Expert advise is deeply appreciated.

I just bought a bottle of seachem purigen but desperately looking for one filter bag to put in the purigen, since the purigen is very small, it require filter bag with very little hole to contain it. If anybody has one to let go or don't need it at all, could PM, much appreciate. PETMART doesn't have stock.

Might consider to use a chiller to replace fans because fan evaporate water quite abit everyday.. I have these problem before too, but after having a chiller, is solver the problem. Regular water change will also stable the PH level.

call petmart this morning, the white biohome is for mature tank, red for new tank. A small packet cost $13.

I am looking for purigen and biohome to replace my current filter media (ceramic rings, carbon and bioball). If anybody has one to let go, pls pm me.

Melvin, call petmart and enquire about biohome, its selling $38 per kg, a small bag cost $13, will it be sufficient for the 24g cube ? the blue biohome is for new tank, white for mature tank, i should get the white one ? Any preference for what kind of carbon to get ? Can advise

Hi Melvin, sound complicated to me.... i was thinking of changing the carbon and replacing the ceramic rings with biohome, dump away the bioballs and do a < 10% water change every week. Will that be ok to maintain the nitrate level ?

Thanks, Advise from some reefer to change the carbon once every 6 months. Will this be advisable ? Any particular things i should watch out for when getting carbon ? How about replacing the ceramic rings with biohome ? Pls advise.
